Age Group Holidays

The best holiday for a couple in their thirties is not the best holiday for a family of five, and neither is right for a group of friends in their sixties. Who you are travelling with shapes everything — the destination, the property, the board basis, the pace. These packages are matched to the people on the booking, not built around a generic idea of what a holiday should look like. Every package is ATOL protected and ABTA bonded.

Young children change what a holiday needs to deliver. Not worse — just different. The pool matters more than the beach. The distance from the hotel room to the restaurant matters. Whether the kids' club runs in the morning or the afternoon matters. A property that gets these things right turns a family holiday into something everyone actually enjoys, rather than something the adults survive.
What to look for: a shallow pool area for younger swimmers. A resort compact enough that you are not walking twenty minutes between meals. A kids' club with flexible drop-off rather than fixed two-hour windows. A restaurant that serves before 7pm. These are not luxury requests — they are the basic logistics that determine whether a family holiday works.
Free child places are one of the clearest sources of value on a family package. They are limited, linked to specific room and board combinations and gone well before the holiday itself sells out. For July and August departures, the window to secure them is January and February.

Teenagers are not young children and do not want to be treated as such. A resort with a supervised kids' club and a toddler splash pool does very little for a fifteen-year-old. What works: water parks and watersports centres with proper equipment, not inflatables. A pool area that does not end at 8pm. Access to a beach town within reach of the hotel. Some autonomy over the day's schedule.
For young adults travelling independently — first trip abroad without parents, group holidays, university friends — the priorities are different again. Budget per person matters. The social atmosphere of the property matters. Proximity to nightlife, beach bars and things to do after dark matters. Destinations like Zante, Kavos, Malia, Magaluf and Ayia Napa serve this market clearly and deliberately. So do Lisbon, Barcelona and the Croatian coast for those after something with more cultural substance alongside the social side.
