April Holiday Packages Holidays

April is when Europe properly wakes up. Temperatures climb, daylight extends and the destinations that were quietly excellent in February and March become unmistakably appealing. Easter dominates the first half of the month most years, creating a high-demand family travel window before pricing softens in the weeks that follow. Beyond Europe, April is outstanding for long haul destinations across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and East Africa. Packages cover flights, accommodation and transfers in a single ATOL protected and ABTA bonded booking.

April does not behave uniformly. The first half is dominated by Easter — high demand, premium pricing for family destinations and the busiest school holiday window since Christmas. The second half is a different story entirely.
Once Easter is over, April mid-to-late is one of the best-value weeks of the year. Demand drops sharply after the school holiday. Airlines and hotels adjust pricing downward. The same Algarve villa or Mallorcan resort that cost a premium over Easter is available at a significantly lower rate the following week — for weather that is now genuinely excellent rather than transitional.
Travellers who can avoid Easter week and travel in the last two weeks of April consistently get the best combination of good weather and sensible pricing. It is the travel industry's least-used insight.

April is when the Mediterranean becomes properly usable. Sea temperatures are still cool for swimming in the northern Mediterranean, but the Canaries, the Algarve, the southern Algarve, Cyprus and the Greek islands are warm and genuinely inviting.
Cyprus in April averages 23–24°C. The island is uncrowded, the resorts have opened for the season and the countryside — wildflowers covering the Troodos foothills, the Akamas peninsula in bloom — is at its most striking. Cyprus in April is noticeably better than Cyprus in August, where the heat is punishing and the resort towns are at full capacity.
The Greek islands begin to open in April. Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes and Corfu are all operational by mid-April, and the second half of the month offers early-season pricing before the summer premium builds. The weather is warm and sunny, the crowds are manageable and the tavernas are pleased to see you.
Seville's Feria de Abril typically falls in late April or early May — a week-long festival that transforms the city and draws visitors from across Spain and beyond. Timing a visit around the Feria is exceptional if availability is secured well ahead.
