Perfectly pleasant with a few flaws

We got home yesterday from a week at the Bellagio and thought I would try and leave a balanced review.
Pros
Hotel grounds are spotless, the staff never stop cleaning, watering plants and there was no litter anywhere.
The beach is beautiful with plenty of loungers, a nice breeze and a sea

Hotel grounds are spotless, the staff never stop cleaning, watering plants and there was no litter anywhere.
The beach is beautiful with plenty of loungers, a nice breeze and a sea as warm as bath water, again no litter on the beach or plastic in the sea that we saw.
We never struggled to get a lounger by the pool as the lifeguards will find one for you if there are none. The pool is a nice temperature and they have aqua gym and pool games. They tended to have less music and games between 12 and 1500 so there's some quiet time too.
The pool bar staff are in short supply but we tipped well and were never without a drink, we noticed those not tipping fetched their own from the bar.
The layout of the hotel is nice and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk from one end to the other.
On the whole the staff are what make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they really want you to have a great holiday, the reps are a different story but I'll add that in the cons list.
Food was nice but very repetitive, there was always roast chicken, a beef dish, some fish, rice and vegetables. The salads are nice and the bread selection is lovely. There's a lady making fresh pitta outside the pool bar which are nice and tasty. Lots of deserts available but they all taste identical. We never tipped in the buffet as we had minimal interaction with the staff as we fetched our own drinks.
We flew at 11pm and managed to get an 8pm check out for £40 which took all the hassle out of the last day
Cons
The sales reps are an absolute pain. If I was to go again I would just give them a firm no on day one and give absolutely no invite for discussion. On a daily basis there is a tour rep, spa rep, fish foot spa rep, beautician rep and a tattooist. They come round and round again. The 'offer' price they give you is exorbitant!!! We were told 180 euros for 2 massages after saying no repeatedly we were offered massages at 25 euros each. It's the same with the others too. We had discussions with the tattooist as we were interested in this but after looking up his work online and seeing that he was bad a straight lines we declined. He went from being our best friend to literally saying 'byeee' sarcastically mid conversation and then blanking us. Was very childish.
Currency - firstly nothing and I mean nothing anywhere has a price. They decide the price based on how gullible they think you look. This isn't just the hotel, it's everywhere. I got really sick of people trying to rip me off. Boat trip? That'll be an extra 5 euro 'tourist tax' on top of your payment!! 4 bottles of water? 20 euro please. Honestly, It's the thing that will stop me returning to Egypt.
Secondly since when has 1 euro been the same as 1 pound or 1 dollar? In egypt they are interchangeable. The cash exchange machine in the hotel doesn't work so be prepared to sort it before you get there.
We had a 'swim up' room. There was 40 cm of water in the pool so no swimming but it was nice to dangle feet in at the end of the day. We had a great sea view from our room but further down the row you don't get that.
The room was tired, pillows huge and lumpy and old but it was cleaned well everyday and to be honest we spent very little time In it so were happy.
The shower drained really slowly but didn't really impact 2 of us. If you needed to shower kids too you'd need to wait between each one.
Air con is set at 20 degrees as a minimum and ours didn't work all that well until it had been on for quite some time which is totally a first world problem!
Chips - hear me out. The bun fight for chips is totally mental. Unfortunately as soon as there are any cooked and put out, unsupervised kids push to the front of the queue, fill their plates and leave. This happened so many times during our stay. It was the same with pizza in the snack bar, kids take a whole pizza and they only cook 1 at a time. There's never chips at the evening buffet. I really think if they just put them on at night it would solve the issue. It's a very weird thing to watch unfold.
There's not really anything around the hotel which might be a pro depending on your view point. Alot of the area is a wasteland with half built hotels scattered along the coast line.
I'm sure there's loads of other stuff I've missed. We had fun, we relaxed and enjoyed the extreme heat. The hotel was pleasant enough and not really any different to what you would experience in Greece or the Canaries.
Would we return to Hurghada? Probably not but that's more because of the rip off culture than the hotel. I'm pleased we booked this hotel after touring the area and seeing some of the others.

We are currently staying at the Bellagio and I can honestly say this hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing..
We are staying in room 1352 and 1347.
Our rooms are lovely and cleaned daily by the hard working cleaners..
My Family and I have enjoyed every moment

My Family and I have enjoyed every moment so far and only have 2 days left of a 10 day holiday, we will be sad to leave.
The entertainment staff, Tuna, Marley, Kelley, Roma and Grapes could not do a better job and have made us feel so welcome and looked after us very well, we will miss you all..
The restaurant and the staff I could not fault at all, they looked after us at all times and took care of our every need, making sure we always had drinks and making sure we was happy with our meal, especially Ahmed who is my favourite person here 🤩..
We booked 3 trips, The Safari, which I strongly recommend, the Dolphins and also the Paradise beach trip which was Amazing…
This Holiday and Hotel is one to remember.. we will be returning very soon..

Lovely clean hotel. Brilliant entertainment suitable for all ages.
Good variety of food to suit all tastes.
I found the staff at this hotel to be second to none. They really do care for their guests. From clean up staff to management, all friendly and welcoming.
Looking forward to coming again.

Lovely hotel been a few times staff very friendly and help with anything.. food is delicious there is always something different on the menu but always enough for vegetarians if you don’t like meat .. rooms ideal and close to pool and beach whatever part of the hotel your in

This hotel is outstanding, I've been here twice now and my children have had the best time, the rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard, the animation team took time to interact with the children every day, the bar and restaurant staff go out of their way to help
