Location

    First off view from hotel great. Pool great and wonderful view from pool. Room was hot even with fan on. Breakfast awful-runny yogurt, bitter fruit, budget hotel eggs and pastries If you just want the vew this is the place. If you want breakfast go elsewhere!     Nice enough hotel with a LOVELY pool and the best breakfast we had in Argentina to date but serious floor - no AC in the rooms. We came in Autumn and it was very warm during the day. Our floor and room were so so hot. We were given a fan that sounded like a plane was taking off in our room. They seriously need to invest in AC.     Stayed for 5 nights. Nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Great pool and good restaurant

    A largely positive overview of our stay. The view from the restaurant pool and gym is stunning. The pool area in particular is excellent with nice recliners. Others have commented on the rooms and I would definitely agree that air con is needed. Even in early Autumn here, our roadside room was warm at night and traffic noise discourages you from opening the windows. In retrospect we should definitely have booked a lakeside room as they have a balcony and are much quieter. We ate in the restaurant one night because of bad weather. The food was great and we had an excellent waitress.     Bait and Switch: I Do Not Recommend This Hotel

    The Alma Suites misrepresented room availability/pricing in a pre-stay message via Booking.com: The management denied balconies were available for our category of room(Deluxe Suite) without disclosing that cheaper rooms (Junior Suite) with balconies existed. We specifically stated in our message 2 weeks before arrival that we wanted a room with a balcony. An honest answer would have informed us that we could have a room with a balcony at a lower rate.At check-in, cheaper balcony rooms were confirmed available but management refused a price correction. Instead they offered us a room with a balcony but at the higher rate.As we were leaving we protested the over-charge and management offered only a $75 partial refund. The difference in price was about double the amount refunded.We will be protesting the overcharge with our credit card company.I cannot recommend this hotel due to their less than transparent handling of the situation. When you requested it after check-in, we explicitly emphasized that this was a lower category and that your booking no longer accepted modifications. We stated that changing rooms for personal preference would be done without the possibility of refunds or compensation, which you accepted. However, upon check-out, you claimed to have stayed in a lower category than contracted, despite this being done solely at your request.As a gesture of goodwill, we coordinated with the provider and updated the rate to that of a Junior Suite; the amount refunded is the correct difference between the room types.Please be advised that should you dispute the payment for your stay, we will take all necessary legal actions.Best regards

    Nice hotel with beautiful views of the lake. However, looking at the white caps on the lake only made us colder. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice rooms, but nothing exceptional. Breakfast buffet was good, not great. Getting coffee at breakfast was hit or miss as to whether you got waited on or had to get your own.Nothing free in terms of water or the mini bar. Small safe in the room worked. Nice shower and decent, but minimal toiletries provided.Location in terms of restaurants in town was a bit farther than we wanted to walk in the windy cold. However, Kilometre Un was easily within walking distance (with view of the lake also) and was excellent.
