    I arrived at the hotel "1253 Recoleta Small Hotel" at 2 a.m. on May 9, 2024. I always go straight to the hotel and book the hotel at reception as I always want to see the room before I pay. I always check in advance via Booking.com to see if the hotel in question has any rooms available. According to Booking, the hotel had plenty of rooms available. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist Fernando told me that they had no rooms available and that I should go to the partner hotel "Unique Executive Central". I showed him the many free rooms on Booking and Fernando said that this was not true and that Booking had made a mistake here. He insisted that there were no rooms available. I said that I was totally exhausted from the journey and that it would soon be three o'clock in the morning and that this was a really special situation. I then booked a cab and wanted to leave the hotel. Suddenly Fernando said that someone had canceled his room and that I was sooo incredibly lucky that I could stay after all. He also said explicitly: But only for one night! I would have to check out tomorrow. I stayed, in hindsight I should have left... Fernando mentioned several more times how happy I should be that I was allowed to stay... The next day I asked at reception if all the rooms had really been booked. The receptionists all said that many rooms had been free the previous night and that they could not understand the behavior of Fernando.They also said that I was of course welcome to stay and didn't have check out. They had enough free rooms. But I had already packed and was at reception to check out. I had really had enough of this hotel. It is sad to be received like this in a city respectively a hotel as a guest. I then changed to the "Top Rentals Downtown" and this hotel was top and I can only warmly recommend it.The gentlemen at reception asked me to write down the situation and they will then discuss this with Fernando and give me feedback by email. Unfortunately I never received any feedback...

    The location of this hotel is great! The room was very spacious, but the bathroom was pretty small. Stayed here one night and it was easy. Was told breakfast would be included, but upon arrival was told it wasn't. The lobby was really pretty and the room was fine.

    Don’t expect to get any sleep!

    Walls paper thin, was awoken at least 3 times with other guest arriving at early hours of the morning and talking endlessly…loudly. Very inconsiderate, but hey Im in a new country so it’s not for me to tell them to shut it! Bed linen extremely cheap and wrinkles easily making the sleep quality very poor, bottom sheet would not stay in place. Managed to totally flood the bathroom owing to inadequate glass inclosure to stop water from staying within the bath. Never got a replacement towel for the soaked one I left out to have taken away. TV kept coming on at random times, so I had to totally disconnect it. Air conditioning rattles so had to turn that off - yet I needed it.Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel for a comfortable night. I guess I have learnt that you get what you pay for, it was cheap - for a reason. I did not get any restful sleep at all.

    Confortable rooms and excellent location. . However, breakfast was not varied and the waitresses spoke among themseñves , not paying attention to guests. People at the reception desk didn' t help us with our luggage.

    Great choice of hotel in one of the safest neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, nice for walking day and night. Small, well organized hotel with clean and spacious rooms, comfortable bed, good shower, and good breakfast. Good price/ value. Highly recommended.
