    Quirky, but pretty good

    This place was surprisingly comfortable and homey, although it is really a very simple hotel hidden behind a cafe on Thames. The staff is quite nice and pleasant, the beds and pillows soft and my room was very quiet. The air conditioning worked well and it seemed to be a relatively good value for the neighborhood. While it won't knock your socks off with style, it is an attractive place to stay, in a modest way.

    I only popped into the cafe, at the front of the hotel, drawn in my the kitchen window showcasing the hand made on site pastries, which were delicious and great coffee. In terms of the hotels location - you’re in the heart of it all bars and restaurants on the doorstep

    Excellent hotel, in a good location with friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms with large bathrooms with walkin showers. Breakfast from the coffee shop at the front of the hotel was lovely with a good selection. Not far from stop 18 on the yellow Hop On Hop Off stops. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area, which we felt very safe in.

    Nice cozy place at the heart of the town

    It was kind of difficult for me to review this property. It has everything to get a 5* rating. However, I could not do so for couple of reasons mentioned in my review. The location of the property is excellent, middle of loads of eateries, bars, small shopping options, public transportation etc. The property is cozy, clean and well maintained. The staff has been very friendly & English speaking. Always happy to help. The breakfast has been simple but offered enough choices and nicely served. We were offered breakfast 'to go' as we were leaving for a site visit early in the morning - 6 AM.Couple of things, none major for most guests, one should be aware and hence mentioning here. 1. The hotel has 2 floors - G & 1st. But there is no lift. If one has a bit of baggage like us, taking them to/ from the room could be little hassle. The hotel staff offered hands all the times though. Going out/ coming in times other than check-in/ out is not a problem. 2. We found the size of the room is on the smaller side. The bed & bathroom was big though; the bed was comfortable too. Overall, I will stay at this property again but possibly will manage my bags differently.

    Hotel room or nightclub?!

    We got put in a room at the back of the hotel which at first looked nice however the nightclub next door was open until 7am on a Saturday morning and so loud it was impossible to sleep. It totally ruined our evening and the next day - the staff agreed that it was unreasonable and we moved room on the second night which was better. The staff on reception told us they would talk to the manager and get us a refund for the first night. We were then told we had to do this through hotels.com where we booked which we did immediately but the feedback we got from them was that the manager declined our refund for no reason. I would avoid staying here again at all costs unless you want to be out all night and instead stay a few streets away!
