Location

The hotel is located 10 m from Avenida Libertador, one of the main access roads to the Obelisk and other attractions. 61 single rooms and 61 double rooms are located on 9 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Allowing us to stay one night (we returned from a trip within Argentina and then needed to fly out of the country the next day), this hotel is a pretty rate find. Many hotels in BA and other destinations in Argentina require at least a 4-night stay (at least during summer season). Hotel exceeded our expectations in a number of ways - spacious room, blackout curtains, very comfortable bed, everything functioning in bathroom (plumbing is often weak in Argentina), kitchenette contained not only mini-fridge, but also microwave and a stovetop (but cookware is aware by request and not automatically housed in the room). Lafinur street is very green, nice balcony experience. Good little pool downstairs in the basement. Though part of the spa complex, pool access is provided with room booking without having to book any spa procedures. Really convenient location, just one tiny block away from EcoParque and Libertador avenue. Hotel was accommodating and allowed us to check out late (our flight was in the evening).

    This was one of the choices from our tour company Say Hueque. I will neither recommend this hotel or the tour company!There were 3 good things for the hotel; 1) we arrived before check-in time (from Salta), and they were able to give us the room within 30 mins; 2) it is located near the garden district in Palermo - we could walk to the gardens, and also Museo Evita (slight disappointment with the museum); and 3) upstairs from the Middle Eastern restaurant Mishiguene - we did the New Year's Eve special dinner - and just had to take the elevators up to our room.Several things are really amiss with this hotel - I would not even classify it as a hotel. It has a tiny lobby. It does not have a common area, or a dining room. Every morning we had to call the phone to have the breakfast delivered to our room - and it was always the same (I asked if they had a menu - was told no menu) - some not so good croissants and baked goods, scrambled eggs, apple, yogurt. Our room - 903 - was on the top floor. While we appreciated getting it right away (I fault Say Hueque for not checking when our flight arrived - they booked it; they also faltered with our booking in Santiago, Chile), the 9th floor rooms facing the street are smaller in size - the balcony was much further recessed from the street compared to the 8th floor and below. So our room was small in size - and it was a challenge to have the breakfast tray placed with space to eat - there was NO space for a proper table.The breakfast trays had NO cutlery - it took one person to come up to our room to show us that the cutlery was in drawers near the entrance. How were we to know?The bathroom was incredibly small - and the bathtub had NO skid pads - it was quite risky for older people to step in and step out.Their wall outlets were defective - my international travel plug worked in Santiago, Chile, Mendoza, Salta, but here it would fall out and not make proper contact. They had to find a multiple outlet strip, which I could lay on the floor and plug my international adapter into.Finally, except for one person at the front desk, the other two people were quite gruff. When I wanted to print our onward boarding passes, I was told that the computer behind the curtains in the lobby cannot do that. I had to download the passes on my iPhone, then end it to the front desk through their WhatsApp number, and they then printed it out for me.

    The hotel welcome greeting was filled with warmth and smiles. The check in process was quick and the room was kept clean and functional with the basic amenities all provided. There is also an indoor pool for a cosy dip, as well as a few sofa bed close by. Booking for jucuzzi use must be done before hand. Towels and bathrobes will be given in the area itself with the slippers. There are also many breakfast options nearby we could go. We stayed there due to proximity to a neighborhood to have less bustle from the busy streets and areas. However, you can find all the restaurant and cafe needed for a good rest in Buenos Aires.
