    This hotel is a joke when it comes to service. After 8 pm, don’t expect any help—no extra towel even (I was willing to pay extra for it). They only provide one towel per person, no room changes, nothing. The concierge told us he was “security, not hotel staff,” and basically shrugged off our requests. They were not willing to accommodate guests in any way. The kitchen was poorly equipped—no mugs for something as simple as a cup of tea. The elevator felt unsafe, adding to the bad experience. Expedia should stop recommending this property—it is absolutely not worth the money.

    The rooms are much worse than they appear in the photos. The internet is unusable. The employees are more unpleasant than a nightmare. I paid extra for more cleaning days, and they ignored me when I asked about the ones I paid for. It was chaos. I'd never been treated so badly in my life. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

    Basic accommodations in a convenient location

    On a very busy boulevard. Definitely no hotel amenities although there is a mini fridge and microwave in room. Room is sparse. We had to ask to get toilet paper, clean towels or room made up. Rooms really need an update. However I have to say the front desk people were always nice. They held our luggage for a few days (for $3) when we checked out and took a side trip to Iguazu. Also they let us have a 3pm checkout (for $42) on our last day. Across the street from Starbucks and McDonalds. A couple doors down from a 24 hour minimart and nearby a money exchange place.

    Unsatisfactory although the rooms were acceptable

    We arrived at Callao Suites early so left our luggage there and went to explore the nieghbourhood. Unfortunately my daughter became sick and we decided to ask for early check-in. Now, what would you do? I offered to pay and they accepted my offer, even though there were empty, clean suites ready for use. They insisted that we pay everything there and then, even though we thought that we had done so - we had to pay the tax, the extra charge for early check-in and had to leave a photo of our credit card at reception, all while my daughter was pale and visibly unwell.The lifts are small and inadequate, and we were on the 13th floor so had no choice but to use them. The room was acceptable and clean although the shower mat was not. To welcome us further was an extensive list of rules and regulations and a price list in case of breakages. Later that day, we received a questionnaire asking us how our check-in experience had been so we filled this in honestly as we had had a negative experience. The next morning we found a rather unpleasant response from management to our review and spent the the rest of our stay avoiding the office staff and regretting that we had heard of the place.I really would not stay here again. Although the rooms were acceptable, our stay was uncomfortable if not outright unpleasant.

    Keep away from Callao SUites

    Made a booking through Booking.Com couple of month ahead of the travel time. As per the ad, I would have to pay at the time of check out. Instead, I was charged the whole amount in advance without my knowledge and or permission. I've discovered that by fluke. I was very disappointed. After talking with Callao Suites several times over the phone,with negative result, I've directed my complaint to Booking.com They made every effort to have Callao Suite return my money. after some weeks of dealing about this matter, the booking company gave me back my money. I have had a delightful experience with Booking.com. I am a customer for several years and never they failed . Callao Suites, have people working there that pay no attention and make huge mistakes. The only apology I've heard from them was: "well, we are only humans"
