A nice clean hotel with good breakfast in Buenos Aires

    rating12 Mar 2026

Good location, near the obelisk. Easy to walk to most attractions. Large room, cean, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Front desk staff with very little english knowledge - trying to call them on them on the phone is useless - they just hangup the phone.

    HOTEL FROM HELL!!

    rating10 Apr 2025

HOTEL FROM HELL!! *After a long-haul flight, we checked in to the hotel at 3:30 pm. The staff whowere unprofessional and looked so unhappy, and were far from friendly, assigned us Room 301. Room 301: When we entered the room, it was steaming hot. We allowed the air conditioning to run whilst we unpacked and settled in. More than 30 minutes later, it was still like a furnace. The Receptionist sent a handyman up. Another 30-40 minutes later, they could not fix the air-con, so the Receptionist brought another key card up and asked us to move to another room… number 701. We re-packed and dragged our luggage out. Room 701: We tapped the key card, opened the door, and OMG!! There were bags and people inside!!!!! 😱Back down to reception we went! They agreed that an upgrade to a bigger room was warranted after what we went through. 5.30pm (2 hours after check-in)Room 703: it’s a bigger room. The air-conditioning works. Yay! We unpack and settle in (again). Did our nightmare end there? No!! At 6.30pm, we were ready to go out for dinner. Walked out the door, turned around to make sure it was locked, and… the door couldn’t lock from the outside!! Called reception; handyman turns up again. After more than 30 minutes, he couldn’t fix the door. It’s past 7pm… We’re starving by now. I went down to reception. I asked them what they had against us. 4 hours and 3 rooms later, and we’re still not settled! They send us to a 4th room - this time room 1103. We checked everything and… the air-conditioning was as hot as the 1st room! We gave up! It was past 8pm, nearly 5 hours after we first checked in. We stayed in the room, and had a completely sleepless night, sweating like horses. Last point: Noise level is also very high at this hotel as it is next to a major road - even on the 11th Floor, we could hear cars honking, buses braking, tyres screeching!Does anyone agree that we deserve a FULL REFUND for our nightmare??!!!P/S: Agoda said Conte Hotel has bus transfers from the airport. That is not correct! They do not have bus transfers.

    I'd stay at Conte again

I had booked a nearby hotel but it was so awful I moved after my pre-paid one week was up and went into this hotel on spec. Booked the next 4 nights. They were very comfortable, and I would like to mention one of the front desk staff, Diego, as he was so helpful on my initial enquiries and thereafter with different things. Much appreciated. Hotel is nice, breakfast was good, location great. With the current economy in the city, nightly rate was very good. Most of Buenos Aires seems to be in need of maintenance, but this hotel was 5 star compared to where I was previously.

    Too old

    rating16 Apr 2023

The hotel is very old. Need urgent renovation. The A/C was not functioning, need to open the window to have air flow in and out. Towels provided were so dark. The flush was not working properly. There was no blanket, on the bed was only a linen. Stayed only one night, checked out early morning to catch a flight. Not recommended.

    Few negatives, but big negatives.

    rating22 Jan 2023

POSITIVES: Location was amazing. Just a stone-throw from the Obelisk and a wide range of nice restaurants. The room itself was very nice; the bed was comfortable and big, the shower was amazing.Breakfast was very good.Price of the stay was excellent.NEGATIVES:A reliable WIFI connection is very important for travellers who do not have access to mobile phone data due to high roaming costs.Their wifi network seems to be unable to accommodate the big number of guests. We spoke about it with the staff two times and they said they would restart the router, etc, but the truth is that we did not have wifi connection in our room. It is not that the connection was slow or poor, we just did not have any, so we had to go and sit in the lobby in order to get connected. The elevators seem to be in poor service, they are very noisy and rattle a lot, and we did get stuck briefly. (When we got to the 11th floor, the inner door of the elevator opened, but the outer didn't, so effectively the elevator opened to a black metal wall. We panicked a bit and then travelled to a different floor, where the issue did not repeat.
