Location

The hotel is located in the heart of Palermo, a few metres from its lush forests and crystalline lakes. Its strategic location offers a link between the two largest exhibition centres in the city, coupled with the proximity to the planetarium, the zoo and a variety of safe access routes to the city centre and Recoleta.

78 suites, 22 apartments, 20 single rooms and 60 double rooms are located on 16 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Old hotel, great location

    Room was tired and old. Things in the room were broken. Breakfast was very limuted, you can't take food by your own, only to show staff what to give you in small plate! Very small elevator didn't work properly so the best option was to go by stairs. The staff don't speak Englush. Location is excelent in the best part of the town.

    Terrible experiencia cuando llegamos al Cristoforo Colombo Hotel Palermo el 20-02-2023.Piso 14. Sin ascensor, sin maletero, sin soluciones. “Lo unico que podemos ofrecerle es cancelar la reserva sin costos”. Zero profesionalidad, total indiferencia.Nosotros tuvimos que hacer una nueva reserva en otro lugar. Nosotros tuvimos que pagar la diferencia de precio. Nosotros tuvimos que llamar un taxi para llegar al otro hotel, y porsupuesto lo tuvimos que pagar nosotros.Nunca mas. Hagan lo mismo.—————————Terrible experience when we arrived at Hotel Cristoforo Colombo, Palermo, Buenos Aires on 20-02-2023.14th floor. No elevator, no porter, no solutions. “The only thing we can do is letting you cancel your reservation with no additional cost”. Worst attitude ever, they just didn’t care.We had to make another reservation at a different hotel. We had to pay the difference. We had to call a cab to get to the other hotel, and we obviously had to pay it ourselves.Never again. Please do the same.

    I read some of the recent reviews for this ghastly place and definitively smell a rat. They must be an insider job. The ‘beautiful views of Buenos Aries’,?? the ‘well equipped gym’?? These HAVE TO BE phoney reviews. Our stay last night was disappointing on every level other than the friendly and helpful reception staff. (and, surprisingly, nice towels.) Restaurant = shut. Bar = shut. Pool area = disgusting worn out AstroTurf and shoddy children’s play area. Pool itself like something from 1960’s reached via a utilitarian steel workmen’s stairwell. All carpets = worn and scuffed. Rooms = dark and dreary and oh so very tired with ancient varnished parquet floors. Kitchen areas = old and depressing. Curtains = either missing or torn. Plumbing = noisy and faulty. How this establishment dares to class itself as a 4 star hotel beats me. Two star max. On a good day. With a following wind. If that. Take a tip from me. Do NOT put any faith in the photoshopped images you see on the blurb. Don’t press the ‘book now’ button. Pay a few pesos extra and stay at the Tango de Mayo.

    I stayed in a lot of hotels and this was one of the worst. Two out of the 4 lifts weren’t working. The wi-fi didn’t work. The room was clean but OLD. Furniture and paintwork mis-matched and chipped. Damp on the walls. The hairdryer was connected to the light switch. No where to put anything in the bathroom. No iron.

    Honestly this has been one of THE best hotels I have ever stayed at in my life... From check-in to check-out, the staff has been nothing but wonderful and genuinely caring. For the incredibly affordable price of the accommodations I would have expected it to be an average experience, but every single detail of our stay was an absolute bliss. The rooms were so clean, you can really tell the cleaning staff does an impecable job. My kudos to them! Every receptionist that I talked to was polite and willing to help me with whatever I needed. The gym is very well-equipped. I was very entertained while working out in the morning as I stared out the windows at the breathtaking sight of Buenos Aires’ cityscape- a few hours before enjoying the hotel’s own buffet breakfast-which was delicious and varied! They had something for every taste. With the obvious perk of being close to the US embassy and the Japanese Garden and within just a few blocks of some great tourist spots- staying at this hotel is a must if you want to be treated like an esteemed guest (or if you want your pets to be treated like little kings as well) Thank you Cristoforo Colombo, my friends, my family and I will always stay here, and I will never stop recommending your hotel.
