    Only for the position really

    rating20 Dec 2018

Pros: Good position as it is close to shops , the famous cemetery and Genera Flower. The staff were really good and helpful.Cons: For $18 USD you can get better. This hostel needs a complete overall as it is very old and tired. The communal shower and toilet was a let down....there was 6 months of hair caught in the drain hole next to the toilet and shower.

    Nice place!

We stayed in the hostel for only one night as we continued to the countryside. But we found a calm and relaxed oasis in the centre of that large city. It was clean and cool. The friendly personnel was very helpful with storing our large luggage. Pure Trash (but good location)

    rating22 Jan 2018

When we first arrived, I was thinking this hostel was a great find- in an awesome location, and the outside of the hostel looked pretty nice. Then, we stepped inside. What can I say about this hostel? We probably should have looked at the room before we paid, and gone elsewhere. To describe the twin room we got: picture a large, disabled public bathroom- but its only half finished, because the walls were patchy, the pipes were uncovered and there were weird stains on the wall. (picture we took of the door to our ensuite bathroom included). Adding to the public disabled toilet vibe, there were tiles everywhere, and the fact that we were scared to go bare foot in the bathroom and shower because the tiles on the ground were slimy and the shower didnt properly drain so dirt and hair always pooled in the middle of the shower floor. The room had no windows, and was super hot at night because there was no aircon or ventilation. Staff were unhelpful and didn't give us any maps or suggestions on what to do in Buenos Aires. Kitchen was probably the worst out of everything. Super unclean, taps weren't working for 2/3 days we were there (so nobody could wash their plates) and the pots they provided were so banged up they didnt have a flat bottom and without handles. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else, or, if, like us, you avoided spending too much time here, then its a good location to leave your bags (we had an excellent time shopping in the area). Carlos C, Director General at Petit Recoleta Hostel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your opinion about Petit Recoleta Hostel. We apologize because we couldn t reach your expectations. We take care a lot of our guests and fortunately most of the comments we received are a proof of that. Best regards,Carlos

Quiet little hostel in a fantastic location

    rating26 Dec 2017

Place is great if you're not into the party vibe. Quiet, calm— I loved it. Huge terrace, pool table, bar with happy hour specials, walking distance to food, drink, and bus/Subte lines. I walked to Congreso from here, and the same distance would put you in the scenic part of Recoleta (Cementario, etc.). Good spot for a hostel and again… really quiet and peaceful. Plus, free breakfast? Hellllll yeah. Not Great

    rating21 Oct 2017

To start positive - hostel in a great location to get to recoleta cemetery, good bus connections for the city and close to metro. Its also very safe and locked all the time. On the downside, i booked a double private room for me and my wife and was given a room with two single beds and a bunk, no windows to outside, peeling wallpaper, smelled of damp, holes in bedsheets, a few cockroaches were found during the stay too. Wifi a bit hit and miss, breakfast basic but adequate with toast, cereal, coffee.I wouldn’t recommend if you plan on spending any time there but its a great base to sleep and keep your belongings. Carlos C, Director General at Petit Recoleta Hostel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you very much for your comment about Petit Recolesta Hostel. We are glad to hear that our location was very positive for you, we really have a great location in the city. On the other side, we apologize for the inconvenience of the type of beds and we take notice of all your comments to solve them as soon as possible.Hope to welcome you soon and change your global opinion,Best Regards,Carlos
