  The first room they gave us was old and not nice at all, it had mold on the walls in the bathroom as well. The staff were helpful and gave us a different room, which was more modern and nice. Friendly staff and central location, close to Guerrin pizzeria!   Disappointing the bedding was dirty

  I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel. Pros: the staff are very helpful and the location is convenient. Cons: the bedding was dirty and needs to be replaced. I thought I was being bitten by mosquitos but it’s likely that it was bed bugs. The location is extremely noisy, even with earplugs. The fridge and TV didn’t even work. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and this by far the worst ever. Only the location and the staff give it two stars. Do your future self a favour spend a little more money for a nice hotel.   So bad it’s funny

  Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures this place is dirty, smells, has bugs and is as loud as a cell block on death row. Also does not have a real restaurant or rooftop was not available during my stay. To top it off the check in clerk called me a punta after I asked for a receipt. Lol! 😂 I do not recommend this hotel.   Windowless, airless boxes for rooms

  First I'd like to say that the young man who assisted me when I arrived late at night at Up Tribeca was entirely professional and courteous with me, even though I checked out almost immediately after checking in. So: I initially booked three nights at Up Tribeca because the reviews for the hotel were all positive; however, the hotel "ambience" is entirely artificial and - to put bluntly - weird. All the rooms are centered around an open-air courtyard (btw, that courtyard is the only fresh air in the hotel), and because I checked-in late at night, I had a very hard time trying to find my room number while walking the hallway along the courtyard, as it was lit by a few neon lights that (I guess) gave off a cool vibe, but no actual light. Because it was so dark, I mistook the wrong room for mine and kept trying to open the door with my card, until I noticed (again, hard to see with no light!) the "do not disturb" sign on the door handle (sorry to whomever might have woken up to me trying to open their door.) I then continued down the dark hallway to my correct room, and when I opened the door, I was greeted to a completely windowless box of a room that reeked of synthetic air-freshener, making it smell like I just walked into a Zara Home Furnishing store. The smell was suffocating, and of course there was no way to open a window to get rid of it because no window existed. If you've ever watched the Apple Tv show "Severance," then you'll get the kind of atmosphere this room had: it felt completely claustrophobic and dystopic. I didn't spend more than thirty seconds in that room before I grabbed my suitcase and went down to the front desk, requesting a different room that had a window, only to be informed none of the rooms have windows. At that point, I asked him to call me a taxi, and I left for another hotel.To sum up: if you don't care that you're staying in a windowless box that smells like a home furnishing store in the local mall, you'll be fine at Up Tribeca. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.   Amazing; we went on a trip with my husband and we loved it. The hotel is really close to av 9 de Julio so you can easily use the subway and bus for everything. The only thing that was missing was the breakfast, but there’s plenty of restaurants nearby so it’s fine.
