Location

The hotel is located in Punta Soberana, 80 metres above Lake Argentino and Redonda Bay and offering unrivalled views. The village centre, which is about 600 metres from the hotel, has bars and a bus station. El Calafate Airport is about 27 km away.

English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Great stay with beautiful lake views and wonderful staffWe had a very nice stay at Edenia Hotel & Nature in El Calafate. The hotel is modern, well maintained, and everything worked perfectly throughout our visit. What really stood out was the staff, who were consistently warm, helpful, and welcoming, making the experience feel relaxed and easy from start to finish.The breakfast area is spacious and filled with natural light, with a beautiful view overlooking Laguna Nimez from the hill where the hotel sits. Breakfast itself was solid and perfectly adequate, even if not extravagant.The hotel is a bit outside the town center, so having a rental car is helpful, but with a car it’s only about 10 minutes to downtown Calafate, which makes the location very manageable while offering quieter surroundings and great views.Overall, we felt it was excellent value, and we would absolutely stay here again on a future visit.

    This place stands far outside of town, alone. It is a nice place in most respects, but it's just so far away that you might as well stay anywhere else, because you'll be limited to the hotel restaurant and...what else? The hotel tries to run a shuttle into town, but it's not terribly convenient and otherwise you're going to need to pay at least USD $10 each way if you want shop or eat out. There was a nice view of the lake from my room, but in all honesty there is otherwise no advantage from being cut off from the rest of humanity.

    Beautiful views, disappointing rooms

    This hotel is some way out of the town. Approximately one and a half hours walk but there is a bus service starting at mid day. The positives first. Lovely views of lake, staff mostly attentive but sometimes difficult to make ourselves understood in English. Good food in restaurant for dinner. Not so good for breakfast. The negatives. The “gym” is not a gym. Home style treadmill with no elevation, two bikes, upright not working. A few very light weights. Room was very poor. No soundproof, you could literally hear every word from the room next to ours and certainly knew when they used the bathroom! Beds basic and uncomfortable. One very thin pillow. We had to put cushions under it and still uncomfortable. No hairdryer in our room. No plug for bath. Towels thin and torn. Very basic amenities and no shower gel. No kettle in room. Finally the checkout time is 10am but we were not informed of this. Had a phone call at ten past to ask where we were. They seemed angry with us. There is a very small notice at the reception desk that was not drawn to our attention when we checked in.

    Nice Hotel and Amenities BUT...

    Overall the Hotel was nice but when we first checked in the room they assigned to us was facing the dusty parking lot with no view whatsoever except the cars. When asked to be moved to another room, the morning reception person would only give us another room at an addition US $20 per night. The hotel did not appear to be fully booked so we surprised at this request but reluctantly agreed. Upon checking out, the same morning receptionist, she charged us twice for the bottles of water we consumed and in our rush to get the taxi did realize this unit l later. Other than the morning Reception person our stay was good. On the contrary, the evening Reception was much more helpful and pleasant.

    Nice hotel. Nice view of the lake. Good smell. Helpful staff. The safe malfunctioned and not fixed though reported. It was a good thing I didn’t put anything inside as I tried it first if it would work. Overall I had a relaxing stay. I forgot the check out was 10 A.M. and had to be called. First time I stayed in a hotel with this check out time. Florencia Piemonte, Ventas at Hotel Edenia Punta Soberana, responded to this review Dear guest, thank you for your nice comment.
