The picturesque tourist village El Calafate offers visitors spectacular breath-taking views of Lake Argentino, the Andes and Calafate Mountain. The hotel is located only 6 blocks from the shopping centre, 20 km from El Calafate Airport, 32 km from International Airport and 80 km of the Perito Moreno.

Facility

The hotel has 14 rooms, including 2 junior suites, 3 single rooms and 8 double rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden.     We stayed at the Lupama for 4-nights. The staff were the best part of the stay. When we arrived, they suggested a few activities we could do while here and offered to book the activities. They also gave us a map of town and suggestions of places to stop by. When we got to the room, we noticed the toilet wasn't working properly. They had it fixed right away. They also helped us when I forgot my ID at a restaurant, making sure they kept it secure until I could retrieve it.The accommodations are a nice and relaxed. A light breakfast was also included. The pool looked fun but we never had a chance to use it. It's also about 10-15 minute walk from downtown (very accessible).

    Nice hotel with very comfortable rooms and great bathroom. Nice living room to chill out. The owner and workers are really nice, friendly and helpful!Breakfast is good with a lot of different cakes, bread, ham and cheese, coffee, tea and milk, jam and dulce de leche, fruit cocktail, cereal and yogurt. There is an indoors pool which is great to relax after the visit at Perito Moreno! Would go back for sure!

    I went to El Calafate with my inlaws and I couldn't be happier that we chose to stay at Lupama. The accommodations were standard Argentine 3 star (not luxe but clean and comfortable) and it was a pretty short walk to town (helpful to start to walk off a big steak dinner). What makes Lupama really stand out, however, is the quality of the service and the warm hearts of the staff. Marcelo and his cousins went totally out of their way to make sure that we had a great time in El Calafate, from lending us some pesos for the day when we forgot to change money for admission to the park, to navigating a tricky rental car situation (hint: rent through him -- he can get you a great deal) to recommending scenic drives in the area. And always with a huge smile! After a couple nights there we felt like family too, and were so comfortable in their home.

    Very nice lodge, comfortable and affordable. It's not far from the center of town, clean and tidy. It offers everything you may need for a care free stay and is a good base for day trips in the surroundings.

    This is right in the heart of El Calafate. It's very cosy with really friendly staff /family owners. We had no problems at all as a gay couple and were really warmly received. Our room had a jacuzzi which we highly recommend!
