  Not a very good experience...missing basic infrastructure and amenities

  An old hotel that was renewed, but... not a very good job. Hotel crew: excellent attitude and service. Hotel infrastructure: ummm......Location is very good, close to the beach and on a populated street. There are many shops and food & drink places day or night. You have a garage to leave your car if you like, at a moderate cost, parking underground. While the hotel is close to the beach (about 2 or 3 blocks), there's a catch: if you want to stay at the public beach, you must walk many stairs downward on the way to the beach, AND you must climb the same stairs upward when you come back to the hotel. Besides, the public beach is about three more blocks from there. In our case, we are a senior couple and that's not pleasent, you can figure it out. The room have air conditioned and a safe, which is good, but the bathrooms are missing a hairdryer, a shelf to put soap and shower elements, even no place to hang the towels, and are very small, at the point that the bathroom door collides with the toilet when you open it...Some bathrooms have bidet, some don't. Our room seemed to be vacant for some time, so there were some traces of dust and a couple of small spiders trying to escape from us.Bed sheets were clean, but they looked like they were used for some decades, badly wore. The rooms are small and not very comfortable, beds are very close one to the other with minimum space to move in between. Clearly it's an old building, I'd say from the fifties or sixties which were renewed, or more exactly, patched in an attempt to bring them to the 21st century. Breakfast was basic. Coffee, milk, artificial juice, cereal, water, bread, medialunas, butter, marmalade, fruits are absent, just one or two oranges cut out in slices, as thin as a paper strategically layed on a tray. The breakfast place is small but somehow nice. You can have breakfast from 7:30 AM to 10 AM.Once more, the issues we found are not attributed to the hotel crew, which are very kind and serviceable, but to the hotel redesign and scarce comfort. In summary, if you're looking just for a place to stay in a good location (Playa Grande is one of the nicest places in Mar del Plata, full of beautiful houses and streets, and shops) for some few days and you're not very demanding, it's for you. But if you want a very comfortable and nice place to spend your nights & days, well...you'll be probably disappointed.

  Very uncomfortable rooms and bathrooms. I asked for a change of room because some teenagers made a fuss during the first night, no one told them to stop shouting, singing and banging on doors until half past two in the morning. There is no way to communicate with the reception, the boys did what they wanted... In the first bathroom there was a room of the cubicle to bathe with screen... it wet everything the same and in the second room there was neither screen or curtain or anything... better not to talk.   Very good location, but the bathroom re chico, you bathed and wet the toilet and the water went to the room to under the bed, but you had a dryer with rag floor,, at breakfast there was neither dulce de leche nor cheese, basic.   Very bad service and uncomfortable rooms

  The service is poor, the rooms are small and not comfortable, communication is poor, they do not notify you of price changes and they are not responsible for what they do wrong.The only good thing is the location.It is not to recommend, do not go!
