  Rooms a bit small & dated but great location & very friendly staff

  We only stayed at Le Chatelet for one night as we were getting an early bus to Pucon in Chile the next day, but for an overnight stay it was just fine for us.The location is good as others have said as it's right in town & walkable to the beach, restaurants etc. We also enjoyed relaxing in the nice little garden & small pool in the afternoon.All the staff at the front desk were very friendly, spoke great English & were helpful.The only slight downside is that for the price paid, the rooms & bed are quite small and a little dated in terms of décor. Of course this is an old hotel, so it's perhaps to be expected, but it wouldn't hurt to spruce it up a bit to bring it back to it's glory days.Unfortunately we can't comment on the breakfast as we had to leave very early the next morning to catch at 6:30 bus, but the staff did very kindly warm up some coffee for us & left out some bread to make toast with jam etc, which was very much appreciated.Overall for a single night we had a nice stay & would still recommend the hotel if you manage expectations.

  It's a quaint place

  4 of us booked this hotel, because we have a biking tour the next day. They were very good at getting back to us and booking taxis for us the next day. Upon arriving, there was a bit of commotion at the front desk when a mom and daughter were coming in. We didn't think much of it. The front desk clerk was very helpful when we asked if we could use the lounge area for wine and snacks. Very relaxing after a good walk thru town. We had room 110, which is not a huge bedroom, but very clean. The bathroom, however is pretty tiny. Need to close the door to use the toilet or reach for the towels. The bed however, was very comfortable, along with the pillows. There is a fan above the bed. But at 11:30, at night, we were awakened by a women screaming in the room next to us. It kept up, and we called down to the front desk. They came and tried to calm the women, but it kept up. Thankfully, the front desk gave us a room on 3rd floor to sleep in for the night. We just grabbed our robes and went up. That bed was just as comfortable, but with no fan. But the whole night was a bit alarming, to say the least. Hard to sleep after being woke up.The breakfast was fine, good coffee and various sweets and bread.

  We spent one night at the hotel. The room was very clean and although facing the street it was very quiet. Location is excellent. I want to remark that people at the front desk were always very helpul and friendly, specially Florencia who helped me out to get back something that I left behind in my room. She was, as I said, very helpful. I definitely shall stay at Le Chatelet on my next visit to San Martín de Los Andes.

  Charming stay in the middle of San Martin

  Everything about this hotel is charming, from the physical keys, to the little garden area and especially the friendly front desk staff. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed how easy it was to see all of the shops and restaurants nearby.

  Have stayed here in all my stays in SMA. The place is beautiful, great location close to everything, rooms are very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff is superb. Always ready to assist and solve your problems. Will come back again.
