    Great experience of two nights at "Fin del Mundo"

    Wonderful experience in this nice location at "Fin del Mundo" place where you can realaxing to the hall with a magic view.The hotel it's near to the centre and you can arrive easier with a pleasure walking.The staff it's very friendly and welcoming, room very spacious and clean.The breakfast it's continental and very various.

    This hotel is in one of the best spots of the city of Ushuaia, on top of a mountain with the best view in town. At the same time is walking distance from the town / Cruise port (14 min walk and / or 4 minutes in taxi ($3.00 USD). Count with modern and comfy rooms; clean towels and bed sheets. Relax and quiet place. The Pizzeria Bar & Rest closes at 11pm and has affordable prices. The atmosphere is very romantic due to the hotel is surrounded by glass with ocean view. Nice breakfast. Close to restaurants, bars and stores. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    Hotel’s location was fine, but there are other hotels that are closer to main attractions and restaurants. We took cabs and Uber to go in and out of the downtown area. Keep in mind that Ushuaia streets are steeped, so walking may not always be the best choice. The room that we stayed in was in need of deep cleaning and renovation. There was not AC and room got extremely warm during the day. Not enough electrical outlets to charge cellphones. Common areas were nice, but furniture looked tired. Overall, I gave a 3 because staff was friendly and hotel was near the airport. Also, because lobby offers a great views.

    Questionable Pricing

    When I first booked a room at Hotel Las Lengas (using Expedia) it was close to $200 per night. Right after the date passed where I could no long get a refund, the price dropped by almost half. Eventually, within a week of our arrival, a comparable room was on Expedia for $36. When I asked Expedia if this is a common practice to have such a steep price drop right after I could no longer get a refund - they responded that this is something that is totally controlled by the hotel, and they could not intervene. When I spoke to the hotel, they said the pricing practices are controlled by Expedia and there was nothing that they could do. While I don't know who to believe in this situation, I do know that Expedia has treated me very fairly over the years - and they have never given me a reason to doubt their honesty. My advice is that if you want to book this hotel, wait until closer to the dates of your stay. If you don't have this option available to you, stay elsewhere where pricing practices are more transparent.

    I spent a night at this hotel prior to a voyage to Antarctica with G Expedition. It was G Expedition that placed me in this hotel with another guest. The hotel had great facilities both in the room and outside including a good restaurant with some good pizzas, drinks and other food. Through the windows of the lounge and dining areas is stunning views of Ushuia, and I saw some of the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises.It is a very short walk to the main street Sant Marten and town centre. The return is slightly uphill but still an easy and short walk.
