    Horrible experience!!

    This hotel is horrible. The rooms were full of bugs and had a horrible smell coming from the kitchen that made it not able to be used. We got stuck in there dodgy elevator with our toddler for over 2 hours. This issue was passed off as the lift belongs to strata sorry the hotel can’t do anything. We were offered no help no refund on our stay or any type of empathy or help for being trapped inside there dodgy lift with our toddler. Despite multiple attempts to contact management over this issue no one has made any contact with us. This hotel is horrible please save your money and stay elsewhere!!! Charlesworth Resorts , Guest Services / Front Office at Charlesworth Bay Beach Resort, responded to this review You requested a full refund for your entire stay on the basis of being temporarily stuck in a lift near your accommodation that we do not manage or maintain. Management made a goodwill offer out of compassion which you rejected. The "bugs and smell" issue was never brought to our attention during your stay and is clearly out of spite for our inability to give you a free stay. Best of luck in the future.

    The grounds are beautifully maintained, clean and tidy. Our room was very tired and in need of an update, photos attached. Air conditioner was old in an unusual spot and kept turning off. Our room wasn't serviced theventire week we stayed and had to chase up the house keeping staff for fresh towels, toilet paper and supplies 😡We had the buffet breakfast which had a nice range of breakfast choices, although the hot choices weren't very hot , some were actually cold.The pool areas were lovely, with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The beach was a lovely short walk from our room with BBQS and shady picnic tables. There is plenty of under neath car parks, but they fill up pretty quick after 2pm. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others looking for somewhere nice to stay.     A little disappointing

    The restaurant was fine , but quite a long walk from rooms.The bed was comfy, but the room was tired and no servicing during the stay.The tv Reception was not good, a Lot of static.The beach was very stony , not sandy, and lots of signs about the beach not being safe.I would not let kids swim there.There were tennis courts, pools and lots paths to meander.Lots of steps to the rooms.Kettle, microwave and coffee machine in our room and a laundry in the complex..     Wonderful Stay!

    We had an Economy spa room. Unrenovated Room I was told when booking and was a little concerned about previous reviews. Absolutely no need to worry! Instead of an Economy vibe, I would say RETRO vibe. It was very spacious and very clean. Had kitchen and large spacious rooms. We had the King bed and a sofa bed made prior to arrival. The pools at the resort were very clean and well loved by my 7 and 9 year old kids. We ate the restaurant for dinner which was well presented and tasty. Buffet breakfast was reasonably priced too. Customer service by all staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend staying at this resort.     Beautiful surrounds and resort facilities. The rooms do need a bit of updating and the balcony could have had the weeds pulled out but the resort was relaxing the restaurant was great and it was close to the town.
