    Room clean, sheets fresh, staff friendly and helpful. Only problem was the kitchen which other visitors staying there did not respect - dishes not washed, food left in sink, etc. YHA needs to do something about this, it spoils an otherwise decent place to stay.     The hostel is in a good location and the thing that made me book it was the pool in the yard. The pool was nice (if you ignore the leaves and stuff inside). The rooms were good size but not the most comfortable beds (not the worst but they moved quite a lot while climbing on top). The thing that bothered me the most tho was that there were no plugs by the bed. There were just 4 in one corner of the room. That was quite annoying. But the bathrooms were very clean and new (they were outside of the rooms).     Wonderful staff (kudos to Joe) with clean facilities. Dorm rooms and individual rooms available. Convenient location near Rusty's market, a mall, the bus system, and walking distance to the Esplanade. Happy to see and meet a variety of solo and family travelers from around the world of varying ages. (6 to 60 years old)

    Great deal. Clean, secure, and quiet. Two person rooms with a/c are a sweet deal. Pool, hot tub, big commercial kitchen. Gated compound, with a direct phone line by the gate to the night staff if you need to check in late. We told them when we would arrive and they were waiting for us. Major cool. Clothes line out back for the wet swim suits and towels. Nice staff.     Fantastic place staff are so helpful the other backpackers are fun to talk to,the cleaners are fantastic,the pool is great clean also the spare is very relaxing the bed in my room was really comfy air conditioning was cold didn't need at night time,it's across the road from cairns central the Mair shopping centre,the Grand hotel is just up the street $10 200gm steals are really nice and the beer is cold .So over all great stay thx YHA Cairns Central YHA, Guest Services / Front Office at Yha Cairns Central, responded to this review Hi wilkosworld!
