    great location right on the marina. Standard Hilton meaning - reasonable value, decent room, good buffet breakfast. And - my pet peeve - yay - a digital clock on the nightstand

    This is our trip to Great Barrier reef, we stayed in Hilton for 2 nights and it was an amazing trip. My friend booked a room with nice beach view, and we took lots of beautiful photos, but it quite small (our fault). However, the staff here are wonderful, they are so friendly and hospitable, especially the girl name Amelia at the breakfast buffet, she is so friendly and have a beautiful smile. I'm allergic to eggs and she showed me around the buffet and explained for us. We are really appreciating it, thank you so much! We will definitely come back next time.

    Unbeatable comfort, views and location in Cairns!

    We have stayed at MANY properties in Cairns, but the Cairns Hilton has hit the top of our list. From allowing us an early check-in at 12pm (usually 3pm, thanks Enna on reception, so helpful and friendly!), to our extremely comfortable room with amazing views, lovely buffet breakfast and excellent location (especially to Cairns Convention Centre as we were there to attend the Guy Sebastian concert). our stay was incredibly relaxed. Will definitely be back!

    We had a great 2-night stay. Staff were helpful and friendly at every turn, and the room and bed were beautifully comfortable. The location is unbeatable – walking distance to so many things plus beautiful views from the balcony. The breakfast buffet included lots of options and the 6.30am start was super convenient for early-start activities.Some fittings were a little worn (frayed carpet by the door, cracked bathroom sink), but I'd rather a slightly "dated" room than wasteful efforts to keep everything looking brand new. I've deducted one star for two things that are presumably corporate Hilton policies rather than local decisions. 1) To access the free wi-fi, you have to sign up online for the Hilton loyalty program. It's free, but demanding this extra data and extra step felt outdated and/or greedy, considering the room price and considering free wi-fi is generally standard these days at even the shabbiest hotels. 2) Tray charge of $8 for room service seems excessive for the same reasons.

    We stayed at this property for 4 nights over the Easter holiday. The price was fairly reasonable given that we booked late and it was a holiday. We received an upgrade at check in.The hotel is adjacent to the marina, making it convenient to the reef tours and other excursions while easily walkable to the downtown area. It’s an older property that has obviously been renovated. Our room was comfortable and clean although not very large. There was a nice balcony with a water view. The “spa suite” means that there’s a Jacuzzi as part of a “wet room” with the shower and tub in the same space. I’d really rather have a separate shower. Housekeeping was provided daily.As diamond members, we had access to the executive lounge. It provided a small breakfast and afternoon drinks/snacks. It was often pretty crowded as families were trying to make dinner out of the afternoon snacks. Service was good.This hotel served our purpose very well and made it convenient to get to our excursions. We’d go back.
