  Beyond 1st class help here. The staff are terrific.

  The last stop over with mates on a 5 day motor bike ride, I became very ill and was unable to check out when required. My illness was sudden and extreme, and basically bed ridden. The fantastic staff led by duty manager Sewmi made sure that they got the medication, fluids, meals and other help that I desperately needed. Nothing was too difficult.   I booked 2 weeks before arriving and there was no booking recorded when I arrived. So I paid more for a double room than I would have. The air conditioner in the room was missing the front louvre so I could see inside. It was all gunked up, in dire need of a service. I didn’t want to use it and it was very cold. The mattress was hard and had very little comfort layer. The shower water was very hot, but the sprayer all over the shop. It was very very basic. Won’t stay there next time.

  I hate huge pillows - always gives me a stiff neck.Anyway, I don't want an issue with the booking company to cloud my judgement. I was certain we booked a ground floor unit as I have mobility issues. Anyway, maybe I didn't and we ended up on the top floor which was quite inconvenient. Nevertheless we were assure we were getting a double room. Smallest double room ever. Only room for one person to sit at a desk or bench to operate a computer. Bathroom was also exceptionally tight. But no door knob, just a stump on the inside of the door - managed to get locked in the bathroom while my wife was downstairs. Just weird that a motel proprietor would allow this.

  Filthy refrigerator, dirty window sills complete with spiderwebs and dead flies, dirty bathroom. Being cheap we expected it to be basic but there's no excuse for this. Simply laziness and a shameful disregard for and lack of respect for their guests.

  From the photos on the motel’s website, there appear to be varying standards of rooms. On our visit we were allocated a room at the lower end of the range. We found it had not been cleaned thoroughly and when we approached the manager we were given another although the quality was only a little better. The rooms appear to be partially refurbished but there were elements of cleaning that should never be excused. One example in both rooms we experienced was that the air conditioners had not been cleaned as both emitted a terrible odour when used. On a more positive note the bedding was good and the shower had good pressure and hot water. A small continental breakfast was supplied although we were unsure as to how long it had been left in the room as the plastic wrapped bread was not fresh. Car parking can be a little tight if you want to be close to your room. Overall, a disappointing booking. Motels can be old but they can be presented in better condition than this motel given that the pricing is only just below much better establishments.
