  This is no longer a ibis hotel , but independently. It has undergone a fool face lift and was very comfortable.. It is located behind a disused petrol station.But this should not put your off in anyway

  Prison Room experience - one of the worst places we've ever stayed at.

  This place was one of the worst holiday experiences for us. It's ugly, it doesn't care about people with disabilities, and our room looked like a cell in a prison, a huge fluorescent light - the only lighting available - bolted to the wall and surrounded by a metal cage - do people steal lights off a wall in Dubbo?The motel is in a good location close to town but is hard to find, even with GPS.Plenty of parking outside.No guest bathroom in the foyer, the only bathroom available near reception is the staff one and it is filthy (toilet had faceces on it and sink hasn't been cleaned in years) and doesn’t even have paper towels (see photos).Cigarette smoke was entering our room throughout the evening, night and even in the morning. People must have been smoking either in the hallways or right outside our windows, while the place is supposed to be non-smoking. When I told the receptionist at checkout, he didn't seem to care and didn't apologise.Linen and towels were clean.We had the "family" room - a large bed and a bunk.The room was so small, there was hardly any space for 3 people to move around the beds - nowhere to place your luggage or anything else... No table to sit at. One hard wooden chair.No flexi shower head, just a giant fixed shower head that gangs above you.A lot of noise from people outside and inside, as the place is full of workers who probably travel in and out.No power point near the head of the beds, so we had to borrow an extension cord.No lift or mobility aid for people with mobility issues - room was on second floor with stairs being the only option! DO NOT STAY HERE if you have mobility issues!

  Overpriced NIGHTMARE!!

  While the sheets were quite clean. Which is our main thing! The carpet was absolutely disgusting, totally filthy in front of the fridge, obviously a tenant had muddy boots, not cleaned very well at all. Behind the entry door, the dust buildup was so thick, it obviously hadn't been cleaned behind the door for at least 12 months! No side tables, a chair on one side as a make-do side table. Being a long weekend, "Ibis" decided to exploit their clients, there price is usually between $100 to $115.00. But due to the long weekend, virtually all other types of accommodation had been taken. So, what does Ibis do? They increased their price to $150.00! ABSOLUTE EXPLOITATION!! I will never use Ibis again!!

  So I’ve been to this ibis budget on two different occasions whilst on field coordination activities where the ibis budget Dubbo was heaven sent. It’s an Ibis budget people I really can’t u sweat and when they expect the Taj Mahal on a budget rate people need really to get real. This budget offers friendly good basic accommodation. Clean sheets, hot showers and FREE parking. In a pretty good spot and does have a pool aswell.Late arrivals are catered for with entry instructions and courtesy call. I enjoyed my stays and met some lovely fellow travellers from all over the country.. Accor Plus Platinum 🙂

  Noped out of there!

  We booked a family room online, arrived and was given a different room, once we got into the room we realised it didn't have enough beds so we told reception who told us they made a booking mistake and shouldn't have us in that room because it's not big enough (well duh that's what we said) then they told us they could kick us out because they shouldn't let us stay in that room because we had too many people - but they had no adequate size rooms left and wouldn't refund us... so we stayed one night out of 3. Obvious issue was not enough beds, pool was under construction so we didn't use it, however we probably wouldn't have used it anyway, it's in the parking lot ... weird. Toilet and shower couldn't be any closer to each other if they tried. Ladder to the bunk was so close to the wall my tiny 6 year old struggled to shuffle up there. Bed was comfortable and we expected uncomfortable due to the price but this was I might as well sleep on the floor uncomfortable, but I wouldn't because the carpet was nasty too... I get it's got budget in the name.... but it's kind of below budget.
