  Though villa was clean it didn't really feel safe as a solo traveller Majority of villas around me were empty & with left being empty & a lot of bush around I'm afraid I just felt unsettledI didn't feel comfortable going outside at night - not even to car behind villa or walking back one night from restaurant on site (even though I walked via road it was isolated)My daughter & family were in a villa on other side of complex Reason I booked there was because they'd booked (& arrived day earlier)

  This place has gone down hill unfortunately. The waiter and bar staff left in a car for about 20 minutes, leaving the poor cook to serve the bar and take orders. There was only one cook in the kitchen. Most meals were average but the paperdelle seafood was under cooked and the sauce lacked flavour, 1/5 for this dish, it tasted like supermarket seafood marinara mixed cooked poorly. The wait staff didn’t say the process has changed and table service is no longer conducted. The waiter and bar staff member were on their phones and chatting more than interacting with customers. The no table service would have been handy to know. Try Sandhills, Lakes Tavern, or Bargara Beach Hotel instead.

  Disappointing Stay – Poor Hygiene and Rude Receptionist

  We recently stayed at Kelly’s Beach Resort with a large family group across multiple villas, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.In one of the villas, we discovered an unclean toilet with visible faecal stains, which was appalling. To make matters worse, water from the shower was backing up through the kitchen drain—a serious health and plumbing issue that made the villa feel unsanitary and unsafe.Another unit had its own share of problems: the microwave was filthy, gecko droppings were found on the beds, and there was a used, wet towel left in the bathroom upon our arrival. These are not minor oversights but basic cleanliness standards that were clearly ignored.We we were leaving our stay we attempted to raise these concerns with the receptionist named Kylie. Kylie showed zero empathy, did not take any responsibility, and seemed completely uninterested in resolving the problems. Her attitude was unprofessional and made an already disappointing situation even worse, she showed no concern whatsoever and offered no apology, compensation, or even basic courtesy.We expected far better for the price and reputation. This experience left us extremely dissatisfied, and we would not recommend Kelly’s Beach Resort to anyone expecting clean accommodation or even the most basic level of customer service. We have also spoken with our reception team, as we take guest service very seriously. Regarding the plumbing, our maintenance team has confirmed that it is not possible for shower water to drain into the kitchen sink. However, it’s possible the sink may have been temporarily blocked during your stay, although no issues were found when our team inspected the villa after your departure.We regret that your stay did not meet expectations and appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention so that we can continue improving the experience for all of our guests.

  Basic budget resort, needs improvements

  The resort is looking really tired and run down but it’s okay as a budget option. Cabins are sufficient but parts of it badly need upgrading. Could have been cleaner. Bizarrely the red headed front office woman had excessive trouble carrying out a basic request. Her attitude was awful and she needs some customer service training. Not a friendly or welcoming vibe.   Value for money! Great for families or couples

  Great place to stay for families or couples. The outdoor pool and spa were great! BBQ facilities, tennis court and bonus. Value for money accomodation. Lovely private Units set amongst palm trees.
