    I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Abel Tasman. The room was spacious, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and clean It was lovely to have a view to the lakes The staff were friendly and helpful

    The motel is rundown and neglected. The motel looks good in the advertising but doens't match the experience. There was nothing memorable about our stay.

    Very underwhelming and way over priced for what it was, extremely dated and poorly maintained. Fridge motor ran non stop ruining sleep.No flywire or screens, no fan in shower.Very inconsistent water temperature.Very noisy only metres from main Rd.Basic room maintenance very lacking.

    While driving from Melbourne to Sydney, our first stop was at Lakes Entrance.The Abel Tasman is a comfortable motel, on the estuary waterfront and within walking distance from the town restaurants and shops.Our room faced the waterfront, which was nice, with a convenient little balcony.The receptionist was friendly and directed us to Soda Fish (reviewed by me separately) for dinner, which was excellent. Very Nice Place to Stay!!

    Great accommodation. Friendly staff at check-in. Lovely view of Cunningham Arm. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Bed is very comfortable with good pillows. A little strange to not have a door on the bathroom but being only 2 of us we didn't mind. Towels were very thick. Fan above shower desperately needs a clean. Pool looked clean and inviting but wasn't the weather to test the water. Great little outdoor kitchen for anyone wanting to cook their freshly caught fish. States room has a sea view which it does not. I would definitely stay here again.
