You’d be disappointed at Avani Broadbeach if you are after Anantara experience.I had high expectations as I’ve stayed at Anantara in Bangkok.I’ve booked Premier ocean view apartment but only had partial ocean view and mostly city view.According to all the information offered by the hotel, parking was $15 dollars per night, however, I was charged $20 per night. When I asked about the difference, I was told it was changed as of May 1 and there was no update on any of the materials offered to the customer which reflected poor management of the hotel.What’s worse was most car parked in the carpark didn’t show parking permits and I was once tailgated by a Ute and there was no check by the hotel, once again, poor management.The hotel hardware wasn’t up to the standards too. I saw leaky roof when I arrived my floor, and air conditioning has triggered my allergies with non stop sneeze.For the same money, there are better choices in the surrounding area. I had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was my birthday, and they kindly surprised me with a bottle of wine and a Happy Birthday card, which made my stay extra special. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. I really appreciated the thoughtful service and would happily stay here again. wonderful location, near to grocery and restaurants. a mall and beach nearby as well.easy to get around from here. staff were helpful. will definitely come back when i am in gold coast again.
