Location

The resort is perfectly located in the heart of the café and dining precinct.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 86 rooms. English-speaking staff are happy to assist and advise. Services and facilities include a baggage storage service, a playroom, medical assistance, a transfer service, a coin-operated laundry and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge).

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and air conditioning ensures just the right temperature. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. Additional features include a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. Other amenities available include a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. The sun loungers are perfect for soaking up some sun. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including golf, a gym, aerobics, a spa, a sauna and a steam bath.

    No Sleep No Pool No care Give it a miss

    The wave is a lovely resort, in a great location, for this you will pay a premium price. I'm generally OK with paying a little extra for a nice comfortable holiday BUT... when I pay good money for my holiday I expect to be able to sleep well past 6am.. All rooms at the wave overlook a major construction site which apparently has no noise restrictions. Probably officially starts at 7am 6 days a week but so much work is actualy done pre-start including setting up machinery, concrete pumps etc. Now add to this discomfort that the entire swimming pool and entertainment deck was closed for renovation. 30 degree days and $1000s of dollars paid with no pool to enjoy?The key difference between a motel and a resort would be the facilities. If the facilities are CLOSED how can you still charge your premium price? Obviously my complaint wasn't the first and Staff response was pretty much too bad not our fault. This staff attitude was the most disappointing, not an ounce of empathy or understanding, certainly no consideration of discount or apology.There are so many great resorts in Broadbeach.Give This One a Big Miss Dreamtime Resorts, Marketing at The Wave Resort, responded to this review Hi James, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.     Resort under renovations, we were not advised about it. Main pool deck completely closed. Roof top pool open spa on roof top didn’t work every time.Construction site next door very noisy from 6:00 am, woke us up.Otherwise it’s a nice place. Great location close to good restaurants and safe beach.Rooms were spacious and clean.     We have stayed at the Wave Resort previously, before the construction next door was started. The website , when booking , mentioned there may be noise from the very large apartment complex that is being in front on Albert Street. The rooms are very large and spacious, and currently have a view over the coast.If you enjoy being woken every morning at 6.30 am, and then enjoy the construction noise of the development next door, then The Wave resort is for you. At this stage, the construction is only at ground level, so for the next year or two, be careful with your booking, as your serenity of a great location in Broadbeach will be in jeopardy.     Still great in Broadbeach

    We stayed here last September and the year before that too. We were worried that the building next door would be impeding the view by now but it wasn’t so. They seem to be building extraordinarily slowly. The noise didn’t bother us this year either. Enjoyed our stay and the spacious apartment and on site parking. I left my favourite perfume in the bathroom by accident and impressively it was returned to me which I was so grateful for. See you next year!     We booked a 1 bedroomed unit, and were pleasantly surprised with our 2 bedroomed sea view apartment, which was really clean and provided everything we needed for our 5 night stay.We utilized both pools in the complex which were also clean and warm. We were there during an unseasonal hot spell so the pools were very welcome - only downside was having to pay $10 for 2 beach towels -come on guys all other places throw these in as complimentaryThe complex is within easy walking distance to all the restaurants, shopping, local surf club, casino, train station and we even walked down to Surfers one morning.I guess the only downside would be the construction going on out the front of the building, but it eventually just became white noise.
