Location

The hotel is centrally located within the twin towns of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and just minutes from the famous central business and shopping precinct of Hannan Street.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is among the standard features in the rooms. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms can be booked. Extra beds can be requested. The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, a gym, a spa, massage treatments and Ayurveda treatments. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. A continental breakfast buffet and lunch are served every day. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Restaurant Disappointing

    Stayed ther on a Monday public holiday recently. The desk staff and room were very good but the restaurant was disappointing. Basic food, no grill, the menu looks amazing but virtually nothing on it was available. Understaffed, seriously overpriced. Pork belly served with 1 lettuce leaf and sauce. I would definitely recommend eating elsewhere.

    Rydges was a lovely hotel about a 5 minute drive from the main town. It’s got a nice pool area and we had a really good dinner in their restaurant. The bar is also a nice place to sit and relax. Our room was well appointed and had a huge bathroom, with plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was not quite as good as dinner but perfectly fine to set us up for the day ahead.

    The rooms are large and spacious, well fitted out and spotlessly clean. The property is not located in the city centre, but if you have a car this isn’t an issue and there is plenty of parking on site.There is a lovely large pool to cool off in, a hot-tub, a nice seating area in the garden, bar and restaurant on-site.The bathroom was well lit and ventilated, my room had a huge spa, large shower recess, loads of storage and a decent hair drier.The bed was very comfortable, with quality linens, huge television with an assortment of viewing options available. I appreciated the kitchenette, complete with microwave, toaster, kettle, large sink and loads of cupboard space. The room was really well designed and spacious.I liked everything about the Rydges Hotel, except the restaurant where the food wasn’t great.

    A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

    We visited Kalgoorlie, which is home to the largest Gold Mine of Australia. We stayed here at The RYDGES KALGOORLIE for over three weeks with an intent of seeing the sights in and around the city. Rydges is a big hotel fully equipped with a Restaurant, Bar, Pool, Jacuzzi, Villas, Apartments, Rooms, Conference Room and a fully equipped do-it-yourself Laundromat. There is ample space to park vehicles inside the hotel. Our stay was in a two bedroom Villa, The villa was fully furnished equipped with everything you have and need at home, Stoves, two Ovens, Dishwashers, Fridge, Washing machine, Dryer, Pots & Pans, Crockery-Cutlery, Air-conditioning and so on. It had personal car parking for two cars, a lawn at the back and a very nice sit out. Our Check in was very quick and during our stay the staff at the front desk were very helpful, our thanks to Roshaan, Michelle and Courtney.Rhonda and Jess maintained the housekeeping of the villa was very efficiently with a refreshing smile. Air-conditioning and the washing machine was very well maintained by Mads.Most of the time we cooked at the Villa but on a number of occasions we ate at the restaurant as well. Breakfasts and Dinners were an experience and whatever was cooked by Chef Ally, Chef Sam and Mieca was perfect for the Palate. I will not forget the Scrambled Eggs, Pizzas and Cutlets. Service to the table and to our room was very prompt and efficiently handled by Alysha and Lia.One morning I chanced to meeting Ms Lisa the General Manager of the hotel, when she introduced herself to confirm if we were comfortable and if we required any help. I the following days I noticed that the General Manager was down to earth and hand on in assisting the staff of the hotel, something I have not seen often back home in India.All said and done, the stay was exceptionally good and memorable. My best wishes to the Head and the Staff of the hotel with a request to keep up the good work and recommendation to travelers that should you visit Kalgoorlie, then you must stay at the Rydges.

    We chose a room with a king bed, spa bath & small kitchenette. The room was very spacious and in a quiet location. Parking is gated which added to the secure location. A continental breakfast was included in our rate. Whilst the selection was limited, it was more than adequate for us.
