    We booked 3 rooms with Alpha hotel specifically for the drag races, 3 rooms, 2 nights. Drag races cancelled due to wet weather. Phoned up to reschedule rooms to the later date, Alpha said not possible due to booking directly with them. Won’t be back. What a loss. Be mindful of this when you book to enjoy the drag races. Disappointed to say the least.

    We paid a premium price for our room due to it being a race event. The room was comfy but lacked amenities. Only one glass and tea cup despite having booked for 2 people, no bath plug for the included bath, the TV remote did not work. Only one pillow per bed, if you needed more you had to ask reception.The driveway to the property is horrific!

    Cockroaches but yummy food at the restaurant

    As far as the rooms goes it was a very average room. Kettle which you have to fill at the bathroom sink, no toaster or basic cutlery. Pest control definitely needs work as I found cockroaches taking up residence in my room. They did offer to shift me rooms but I had so much luggage it wasn’t worth the effort. The bar and grill was yummy tho and enjoyed their food a few nights I was there.

    Overpriced.just because the hotel is near the racetrack doesn't justify then to charge the prices they charge .happy hour is 5-6pm but the bar doesn't open until 6pm Sunday !.how stupid is that ? $9 for a stubby of tooheys, rip off central .The heating didn't work properly and the room was cold although it was set on 27degrees it took 1 2hours to warm up .The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom floor no matter what position you put the shower head .I had to mop up the water with the bathmat and it was filthy after .they obviously don't mop the bathroom floor very well ..there are a lot better options not very far away then this place .also another minor thing is that they advertise Carlton draught on tap,signs everywhere but this is a lie like happy hour ! Not happy ,not ever staying here again !

    We stayed overnight at Alpha. The check-in process at reception was efficient, but our experience took a downturn when we discovered that the single bed in our room was missing a corner leg. After contacting reception, they promptly arrived but informed us that they would need to check for available rooms as they were fully booked. Fortunately, another room was found, and we were quickly relocated.When we asked reception for an additional pillow, we were told that others had made similar requests, but they were "not allowed" to provide extra pillows. Despite explaining that I needed it for a medical condition, the request was still denied. Interestingly, there was a sign inside the room wardrobe instructing guests to call reception or dial "9" on the in-room phone to request pillows, blankets, or extra bathroom linen.In conclusion, if you are looking for a $209 per night room, it might be best to consider other options.
