    Not cleaned before we checked in.

    We arrived at 3:30pm and the room still hadn’t been cleaned. I had to go and enquire twice about when it was going to be done. The cleaner came in and just said she needed to change the sheets. I advised that she needed to clean the entire unit. She left and hadn’t touched the main bathroom. It was clear it had not been cleaned for sometime as there was water scum buildup in the toilet. I went back a third time to main reception and I expressed my amazement that this hadn’t been done. It was eventually done. The facilities were good over all.

    We have stayed at APX Parramatta many times & never a complaint until today. No one at reception at check out time. Constant sign on door ‘back in ten minutes’. We complained of our room being extremely noisy. Asked to change rooms. This was organised quickly but we were asked to pay a further $20 per night for an upgraded room in which we paid. Only to find our room was not upgraded & only moved a few rooms away from our original room still noisy & same executive 1 bedroom suite. Guests should not have to pay extra for a quieter room with the exact same configuration (same room type)We were charged for an inconvenience fee to move rooms to a quieter room.

    Those who run this business are very dodgy, with a very low cleanliness standard and no regard for a reputation or care for their customers.We read the reviews too late, so could not cancel, and they lived up to everything that others had written.Very unclean - there was a pair of period underwear in a bathroom drawer and chocolate wrappers under the very smelly, uncomfortable and creaky couches.We got hit with a $15 per day car parking which was not highlighted anywhere in our communications, even the receptionist could not find it (we booked by phone, with an email confirmation). We had to pay, given we'd just driven from interstate to attend a local function. The key pad barely functioned to access the carpark.The TV was very slow to operate and turned itself back on throughout the night if we didn't turn it off at the wall. Not that you could sleep well anyway, with the light pouring in from outside and the incessant hum generated somewhere in the building.Then came the $200 security deposit. We paid it, then proceeded to do all the right things, even putting the rubbish out before we left, washed and dried all dishes and so on. BUT, they decided that we stole a lamp, which is no doubt a line they use on many unsuspecting customers. Of course we didn't steal a cheap lamp, but APX still keep our bond. How could they miss period undies and wrappers but decide we took a lamp is beyond me. We will never stay there again and will not give up chasing the money they owe us.

    We found dirty socks and food from previous people. Could not turn on the heater as it blasted us with hot urine smelling air so we froze. No fresh towels given were there for 4 days. Requested bottom level as use walking aids but had to crawl up stairs. Requested partial refund but was ignored. Terrible experience

    The cleanliness was not up to standard, failed to provide sheets for a roll out bed leaving kids sleeping without sheets or blankets as reception had closed by the time we got back and the response from reception on checkout was like “oh well they must have forgot, hmm” not a care in the world.We won’t be back EVER !
