    Don't be put off by the appearance, this hotel ticks a lot of boxes, exceptionally friendly staff, comfy & clean rooms, good bathrooms, and very good breakfastYes, its a little tired and "oldy worldly" but very reasonably priced and suited all our needs, also has car park and plenty of street parking, local town is within walking distance

    There may be aspects of this hotel that may be modest, but the kindness and genuine service more than make up for it and for us, that is what matters most.When visiting our son and his partner, who lives close by, we have stayed in some of the bigger hotels in the area. Yet, we have felt especially welcomed here, and we will certainly return on future visits.Thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality!

    Thanks very much Cecilia👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Hotel Blue & Cottages in Katoomba is in a very good location & has the best customer service ever 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 My wife & I arrived by train & so we footed it everywhere we went. We walked to the 3 Sisters, walked on the National Park trails to Gordon Falls & back to the hotel. Breki’s are self service with lots & lots to choose from. & We went to the Elvis festival in the club across the road to be entertained by ‘Dave & The Sunnies’, a great pumpin Rock n Roll band👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    The hotel location is great, the rooms have decent sizes and the beds are comfortable.Dont really think that the management knows much about running a hotel though. Besides the fact that the hotel has a great potential it certainly needs some serious renovation, starting from rooms, and windows.The hotel halls are very cold, as the hotel doors an windows and not airtight or even closed.There are at least 3 nice spots to seat comfortably with fireplaces, unfortunately even if u ask, they are "broken" in high winter season.The breakfast is very basic, and not adequate for cold weather.The cleanliness has to be improved urgently and the cleaning staff shouldnt be leaving their cleaning material literally everywhere in the hotel and eating their meals in front of the guests midst of day.There is a lack of staff, so they obviously can only do as much.Besides it all, the hotel reception closes at 6, and starts at 8.30, which means until then there is also no heating in the hotel halls.In case you are looking for cosy evenings with fireplace, this is certainly not the spot to be.We were very dissapointed.Hope you do upgrade your hotel though and make it a cosy spot as it should be.

    The room was very cold. Fire was not lit even though they said it would be in communal lounge. Communication poor due to little English. Room not adequately clean. Poor outdated provisions.Room was extremely small for theee friends. Room did not come near to the photos on the website. Very disappointing. Scored two for keeping us out of the weather. Won’t be back.
