  Located on Castlereagh Street, this is a lovely, comfortable hotel in a very convenient location in Sydney’s CBD. The rooms are large and comfortable and those with families there is the option to have adjoining rooms with a connecting door.The service at reception, at the bar, in the restaurant and room service is really good. A really decent place to stay.   Really comfortable stay in a stunning heritage building

  This was a really comfortable stay in an amazing heritage building with all these stunning, grand common spaces. The itself room was very comfortable.It was in a pretty convenient spot, though I wish I'd known that Google Maps' public transport directions were often rubbish and that the Gadigal metro station literally next door was often a better option, especially at night.It was good value for what it was and I'd definitely stay there again.The only downsides:- the hot water in the shower was incredibly slow to start up, like a start-the-shower and walk away for a while situation- very limited dinner options, which was a shame because they had these amazing dining spaces that no one was really using at night when I was there Tia Krishnan, Sales at Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much for your lovely review—we’re thrilled to hear you had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the charm of our heritage building and its grand spaces.   Best Holiday ever

  Best experience since it's my husbands first time in Sydney. The location was perfect, close to everything, buses, trams, restaurants, park, supermarkets and the opera house. The atmosphere was great. The rooms from the images looked big so we we're excited but then we arrived and was told they upgraded us so we thought OMG a bigger room than what we saw. Wrong! Haha. It looked so much smaller than the images so that was the biggest disappointment. It was clean and you get housekeeping everyday unless you prefer every second day which is what we had. It was nice. Noise level was decent unless you're shouting because that's what we heard from our neighboring rooms, alot of talking. Sometimes just outside the hotel you'll smell waste sewage which is disgusting but when you're inside the hotel you don't smell a thing. All in all, we had a great time. Besides the little things, I would say its a good place to stay.
