  A good room in a great location

  Hotel Coronation is in such a good location! Close to Town Hall station so I could get the train from the airport and to Circular Quay, in walking distance to Darling Harbour, Sydney Tower, QVB, and many other places. Check in was easy enough, straight to the front bar and then to the reception desk. The room itself was small but very comfortable. A very soft bed and nice pillows and towels. The tv didn’t have many channels though. The bathroom is the reason I couldn’t give the hotel 5 stars. It was very small. The door hit the toilet when you opened it, as did the shower door. There wasn’t enough room for me to lift my arms up to brush my hair in front of the mirror without me hitting my elbows on the wall or shower screen. The shower leaked water out through the door, so after my shower there was water all over the floor. The shower head was low and the water pressure was too. The hot water was patchy and ran out very quickly. Apart from the bathroom, the room was great!   Wonderful historic hotel in a great Sydney location. Travis on reception was helpful and accurate with our booking. Room was clean & comfortable. Sofa bed already made up for our arrival…wow! Stored out bags until departure and all staff so helpful. Would definitely stay again.   Nice pub at downtown Sydney.

  Quite enjoyable traditional pub style bar. Sports on at the several tv screens and a well served pint of beer, you can’t go wrong here for a late afternoon refresher.   We stayed for a 2 night stop over in Sydney. Great location, walking distance to Circular Quay, Hyde Park and the Botanical Gardens. Our room was clean with good facilities including a mini fridge. The hotel’s restaurant was excellent and competitively priced. The stand out feature of our stay was the hotel manager, Travis who couldn’t have been more helpful, he even took the bother to take our luggage out to the Uber pick up point when we left for the airport.   Great location for transport and excellent service. Food and drink is great and all around good value. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
