Location

Affectionately known as ‘Sydney’s Seaside Village’, Coogee is just a few kilometres from the centre of Sydney. Located opposite the beach, the hotel offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Its location makes it convenient for doing a little shopping, watching the cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground or even placing a bet at the world-famous Randwick race course. Bondi Beach is about 3 km away. Sydney Airport is about 6 km away, while Sydney Opera House is about 9 km away.

Facility

11 suites, 70 single rooms and 128 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The holiday village has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. For dinner, guests can order à la carte. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    Fantastic service, very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, lovely pool area. Clearly great management by Aldana and her team. Rick Stein’s is also a huge value add to the hotel- excellent food and great service. A special shout out to Giovanni and Bianca who were exceptional! Thanks for making our stay so special!

    Beautiful place to be for 3 nights! Stayed here after working in Sydney and was the perfect spot for R&R.- Right by the beach and plenty of shops & restaurants - Lovely room, felt like I was on a boat with the lovely sea view- Very friendly and accommodating team - Didn’t eat in the hotel - There was an event on so the pool area wasn’t available which was fine, really appreciated the email from concierge offering access to Wiley Baths, something I probably wouldn’t have done initially but so glad I did.

Among these, my experience at the InterContinental Coogee has been exceptional.The location is outstanding, offering both convenience and a pleasant setting. The rooms are of a very high standard, combining comfort with a well-considered design. Despite the hotel’s size, there is a strong sense of personal attention. The staff manage to create an atmosphere where guests feel individually recognized and well cared for. For comparison, I also stayed at the Four Seasons in Sydney. While it is undoubtedly a high-quality hotel, the service there felt less attentive and less focused on individual guest needs. In contrast, the InterContinental Coogee demonstrates a stronger commitment to hospitality and customer care.Overall, this has been a highly satisfying stay, and I would not hesitate to recommend the InterContinental Coogee to others visiting Sydney.

    We stayed 2 nights at the International Continental Coogee Beach. The hotel refit is nice, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room is located on the fourth floor, the room is fitted to a high standard and very clean, the king bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is nice. We liked the Nespresso pods in the room, coffee craving solved lol. The hotel has a pool deck with a pool bar, not swim up bar however still good. The pool deck has towels and sun beds with canopy looking out over Coogee beach. The hotel is located across the park from the beach and walking distance to cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs. They have a bar restaurant off the lobby looking out over Coogee Beach. Overall a nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay.
