Refund declined 7 minutes after booking

    rating12 Sept 2025

Was in a rushed stressed situation at the airport and booked accomodation for the night, then cancelled 7 minutes later as I figured out a better plan.Requested for a refund through booking.com which was declined. This is inline with their policy but given a simple situation to be kind, they chose their $70 or whatever it was.

The worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in

    rating14 Mar 2025

You couldn’t pay me to stay in this hotel again. I stayed in a single room, to start it smelt terrible. Even after keeping the windows open all day the smelt didn’t leave the room. The WiFi is horrendous, my phone constantly disconnected from the wifi and even while connected the signal was really bad. I turned the fan on in the room (since there is no AC) and it immediately got dust on the bed because it was dirty. The window would not latch all the way shut and my room was on a busy street which lead to me waking up throughout the night to sirens and cars outside even with my earplugs in. The curtain didn’t cover the window all the way and since the bed is right next to the window a lot of light shines onto your face. The room was so hot even with the fan on and it being 72 degrees outside, so I can only imagine how bad it is in Sydney’s summer. There was mold right above the shower in the bathroom. I’m 5’10” and the sheet on the bed was so short that if I brought it past my stomach it would come off my feet. When I left they made me bring down the pillow case and towel, but not the sheets, this makes me wonder if they even clean the sheets or if they just leave them there. Disgusting terrible hotel I WOULD COMPLETELY AVOID.

    Near the station

    rating29 Dec 2024

Convenient hostel near the station. The interior is a bit dated, lacking privacy and space to store your belongings.Nice common areas for meeting new people, with a spacious but somewhat dated kitchen.Ideal for short stays and for its affordable price.

3 months living at the Maze

    rating18 Nov 2024

I have stayed at the Maze a few times, and without a doubt, it’s the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Besides being well located and organized, they host amazing activities like pizza nights, pool tournaments, and many others, encouraging interaction among guests. The events team is outstanding. I made great friends there from different parts of the world, friends I’ll cherish for a lifetime

    Hot and uncomfortable

    rating17 Nov 2024

No air con, hot, uncomfortable beds, expensive. Good walki my location but many other hostels in the area I would recommend. They had a fan that is so noisy and will fall off the roof I swear. Wouldn't recommend. Find a better spot this is purely just a bed
