  Great little boutique hotel, as long as you don't need wifi.

  Charming and clean, convenient to public transportation and a nice but simple continental breakfast.  We noticed as soon as we got to our room, wifi internet signal was very weak.  So weak, in fact, that most of the time we could not connect at all.  We took some measurements and shared them with hotel staff, both verbally and via email.  They politely replied to our verbal and email notifications, but for the entire week they never did fix it.  BTW, the signal strength in the lobby was fine (we had to go to the lobby in order to send them an email), which might be the reason they were somewhat lackadaisical about addressing the problem.  It seems that the further you are from the lobby, the lower the signal.  So, avoid room 105!   I Heart Mrs Banks Hotel.

  I very rarely write reviews... But Dylan, the owner, was hands on most of the time. He went over the top to make our stay comfortable. Gave us many suggestions on where to shop and eat. He also has a closet with incidentals. Came in very handy when my cousin announced he forgot his belt for the wedding we were there to attend. The rooms were stylish and very clean. A light breakfast is served in the morning. Easy nearby bus transportation to Bondi and the CBD is available. Mrs Banks worked out perfectly for us.

  Paddington area hotel near many restaurants and a good bus line into the city

  My husband and I flew in from the United States for a 4 night stay at Mrs Banks. We arrived at the hotel at 7 in the morning. Dylan, the manager of the hotel, greeted us and though he couldn’t get us into the room immediately, he took our bags and sent us off to a wonderful coffee shop down the street. Within the hour, he came down and found us. Our room was ready! We got our key. Throughout the stay, Dylan was helpful in so many ways, from food recommendations to excursions. He made the beginning of our 2 month trip in Australia a joy. Also, the room was, though small, quite nice. And very quiet.

  Good location but felt a little claustrophobic

  Great Location, But Room Felt Claustrophobic⭐️⭐️⭐️Mrs Banks has a great location right in the heart of Paddington — easy access to cafes, boutiques, and public transport.We stayed in a Queen Room, which we found quite small and unfortunately without proper windows. The glass bricks let in some light, but the lack of an outside view made the room feel a bit claustrophobic, especially at this price point.A nice touch was the complimentary coffee and pastries offered in the lobby each morning. The staff were polite but not particularly warm — we weren’t greeted when coming or going, which left the service feeling a little flat.Overall, a clean and well-located hotel, but I’m not sure it offered the best value for money.

  Very handy small hotel when staying in the city. Comfortable bed and good shower pressure. Extremely delicious breakfast. Relaxed vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurants nearby and easy to get by bus into the city. Parking is hard in the area, so better to leave car at home and get the bus. Despite being on very busy Oxford Street on a Friday night, the hotel was very quite and did not hear any street noise. Good value.
