Perfect spot, large rooms, close to great food, theatre and public transport to get you anywhere in the city.

Bypass Oaks Sydney Castlereigh Suites.

Oaks Sydney Castlereigh Suites. Definetly would be bypassing this place. It was a minimum $250+ a night and definetly not worth the money. It was old and with terrible smell as soon as we opened the door. Carpets are old and dirty. The entire apartment smelt on assorted spices and appears to have previously had international students living there. Not even opening all the windows could get that smell out of the apartment. Would have expected a lot better for that price and given that Oaks is reputable brand. Have stayed in many other Oaks Hotel Apartment but this was the by far a 1 star accomodation.

Our family of 1 parent + 2 teens really enjoyed our stay here. Location within Thai town and close to China town meant lots of great options to eat at all times of the day and night, excellent people watching and easy access to both the LR via China Town and trains via Central. Staff were fantastic, room was incredibly comfortable - good size with decently appointed kitchen and a good selection of television channels for down time.

Convenient location and well appointed

Oaks Castlereagh is a great place to stay, close to Chinatown and the south end of the city but convenient to everywhere else in the city via PT or walking. Coles supermarket not far away, the apartment had all the essentials for eating and cooking apart from the staples (salt, oil, etc), the (requisite!) coffee machine and was comfortable to live in for a number of days. Mari at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. No daily service, but usual for this type of accomodation - it is a fantastic base for exploring Sydney.
