Location

The hotel is uniquely positioned right on the water's edge of Sydney Harbour. It enjoys spectacular views of the famous harbour bridge and the Sydney Opera House. It is situated in the historic Rocks district, just 5 minutes from the central business, cultural and shopping districts of Sydney. It is a short stroll from Circular Quay and attractions around the harbour and the city. Both a central Sydney hotel and a retreat, it is one of the few luxury Sydney hotels enjoying amazing harbour-side tranquillity. Sydney Airport is about 13 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 155 rooms and 11 suites located in two 5-storey buildings with lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available. 6 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A living area, a kitchen and a bathroom also provide plenty of comfort and convenience. Guests can enjoy the view of the city from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Other amenities available include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system, a CD player, a DVD player, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Amenities provided in the rooms include slippers and a daily paper. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the outdoor pool area guarantees comfortable swimming. The sun loungers are perfect for soaking up some sun. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking and golf are available. Water sports enthusiasts are offered sailing (no extra charge). Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna and a steam bath. Subject to charge: massage treatments.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. The restaurant has air conditioning and high chairs for children. In addition to breakfast, the hotel also offers lunch and dinner à la carte. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Fantastic location. Great room compared to other locations I have stayed. . The rooms are more expensive than most in the city but you get what you pay for. The staff were excellent and the valet parking is well worth it.     overall good hotel but hidden non transparent policies and lack of communication

    Room was spacious, clean, housekeeping was good , prompt services by guest services team, the food overall is good.But the hotel has many unknown hidden policies like auto checkout, paying 100% surcharge on laundry if you receive it on a Sunday though you may have given it on Saturday but the same is not clearly mentioned. They charged my personal card for a prepaid company stay without consulting or checking with me if the company payment has any issues, they never inform or consult with customers they just act. They auto checked out me in the name of auto check out after a month of stay policy without informing me to collect new keys. I had trouble to go all the way down at late night to collect keys when my previous keys did not work.     Iconic hotel with super friendly staff.

    This hotel is the best position in Sydney and its not one of the hideous high rise buildings. I like it how most of the staff seem to be foreigners. They are so polite and friendly. The tall and very attractive Vietnamese girl remembered us from when we stayed 2 yrs ago. It was nice of her to make us feel special. The rooms are awesome and modern. Pool is warmer this year and nice small hot spa. Its an iconic hotel and a MUST stay!     Spectacular view and an amazing stay for our proposal

    I had my proposal here, the hotel was magnificent and the staff at concierge/reception were amazing and proactive throughout my stay. I had some aircon issues in the first night, which were rectified by the next day. The staff proactively asked me about the issue and gave me a hotel credit to compensate, which I was very pleased with. The photos don’t do the view justice, the opera house looks absolutely huge! The breakfast in the morning was also spectacular, a highlight of our stay. I’d like to shout out Ranyu Kin for helping me plan and execute the particulars of my proposal, she was fantastic and prompt communicator. This stay definitely became a lifelong memory for us!
