    We’re based in Park Royal Daring Harbour for 8 days. The hotel itself is situated at a very busy intersection about a ten minutes stroll from Darling harbour, the light rail and the QVB. Overall our experience was disappointing. We were in room 816 which had a view over to Darling Harbour, the room itself was lovely, with a very comfortable king size bed and fabulous bathroom. Unfortunately the room overlooked the motorway and as a result there was a constant din of traffic. We had Lounge access for breakfast and for drinks and canapés from 5 - 7pm in the evenings which was great to come back to after the day exploring the city, however, on two occasions during our stay we were unable to get a drink at 6:50pm as the staff have closed the drinks section without telling us they were doing so. The reception area of the hotel is always busy and it is difficult to find an area where you can relax and unwind apart from in your room. The hotel lacks an outside sitting area and a pool. Jesse at reception and the housekeeping staff were lovely, but overall our experience at the hotel was disappointing especially considering the price paid. Furthermore, the hotel was very slow - 6 working days and only after I called to query the delay - to return the deposit paid on arrival - in all other cases where we paid a booking deposit to other hotels during our trip the monies were return within 3 working days.

    This hotel is in a great location! It is Walking distance to all the tourist sites. They serve a Great breakfast. The staff is so Friendly and full of recommendations. The beds are super Comfortable and the towels are soft. I’ll stay here again if I ever return to Sydney.

    Parkroyal darling harbour Let’s start with positive - pecan pastry at the buffet for breakfast.From start to finish every thing seemed too hard for the hotel and the staff Check in with awkward argumentative staff not wanting to honour the booking conditions was not a great start to the stay, Finally got to our room which looked nothing like the photos on display for the executive suite or meet the description, the walk in shower was a cubical with a door but flooded the bathroom making the floor tiles slippery, while there is a small note that the bathrooms might be a different bathroom configuration in the room description, a small cubical shower is not a different configuration rather different shower type.The bathroom entrance was facing the bed, so the bathroom light switch was located outside the bathroom so no matter what if one person is asleep and the other gets up to use the bathroom the other is awaken with a bright flash of light, But the outside noise intrusion would have to be the most under estimated feature, Camped at caravan parks quieter, the noise is a constant hum, it’s not just city noise it is a hum that doesn’t stop, The stay finished with the return of the car from valet parking, with the motor left running beside the smokers area, the result was a car full of cigarette and cigar smoke. The whole stay was disappointing in an overrated hotel.

    We chose this hotel for its location - ideally placed for exploring Sydney. Darling Harbour is a short walk away, as is the Chinese Peace Garden. Away from the harbour, a walk up the hill will bring you to the Sydney Light Rail. We used this to travel to the Rocks, to get the ferry to Rose Bay.We stayed here for 5 nights, and both the check-in and check-out went smoothly. The Reception staff were all very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable.
