    Fabulous Stay at the Sofitel

    An absolutely amazing family stay at the Sofitel Darling Harbour! From check-in to check-out the staff were incredibly helpful and always went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. A huge thank you to Eliott in reception and Alexander in Guest Services. They really took the time to get our requests sorted asap. We are very happy we chose this hotel. The location is fantastic, the breakfast is amazing, the staff are helpful and polite, the pool and view from the pool deck are stunning (especially for the VIVID festival), and the overall feel is calm and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel for families.

    We have stayed at the Sofitel Darling Harbour numerous times.The lounge service was getting so so, but with our last stay they have improved not only the service but the food offerings as well. Breakfast was excellent, afternoon tea was just as good, and afternoon canapés was the best we have had here so far.Well Done Sofitel Darling Harbour.

    I stayed at this hotel and before going, I read good things and saw beautiful pictures. However, visiting in person was way better. I thought that I could enjoy an afternoon tea, but I was told that it was a Mother's Day event. I was so disappointed because after seeing the pictures online, I determined that I was going to enjoy afternoon tea at the Sofitel. After enquiring about where I could purchase the tea, the breakfast buffet Maître D told me the name of a store. I could not make it to the store because I was on a tight schedule. The next morning, I was surprised to receive a small package of teabags with a note. I was elated beyond words!!!The bed was super comfortable and the chocolate which was in my room was exquisite.     A Room With A 'City' View.

    With all the elegance and sophistication one would expect from Sofitel, Sydney Darling Harbour does not disappoint. Superb rooms with separate shower / dressing room and a picture window overlooking the harbour and city. Add good service and an easy walk into the city and Sydney Harbour then this hotel is very difficult to beat -- definitely five stars.     Where do I start. Should have left my car at home. Took over 40 minutes to reach the driveway because cars were all stuck in traffic on the road outside. They didn’t have enough staff working. Everyone was. Beeping horns and staff inside just watched without trying to direct cars. Once inside had to wait another 20 minutes to check in. Reception staff so slow. Does this hotel have enough staff or is it poorly run ? Our room was good Bathtub just perfect. Champagne bar looks good in pictures on your tv but wasn’t that appealing in real life. Skipped breakfast the next day as it looks like a function hotel. Check out was quick as just left our key cards with your staff by the lifts, Even the staff member who took our keys just said check out? With their hand out stretched I don’t know what sort of service that really is you’re not really doing me a favour. I did call earlier for my car to be on the driveway ready to go and the staff did actually a good job of this. I’m glad I called an advance cause even on my way to pick up my car they had staff running around everywhere. I could see other patrons looking quite angry around the luggage desk waiting for their cars. Overall, I won’t go back there.
