    Best Sydney Hotel.

Well, what can I not say about this joint? The Lobby service was top-notch. So helpful. On Australia Day, they even upgraded us to a King Room. Ripper stuff. So close to the Rocks party strip. The best thing, as the photo shows, you can see the Bridge and the Opera house from the rooftop. We watched the Fireworks from here with some BYO Bevvys. Along with 50 others, we still felt like we had a front row seat. An occasion we will never forget. And if you're getting on a cruise ship, you're only 50mtrs away. Top stuff.

Over priced and disappointing. This place needs investigating.

Do Not Stay HereThe location is good but there are many other ‘good location’ options that are far higher quality and cheaper. We paid $600 a night (x2 nights) for the promise of a superior room and views of the harbour. The ‘view’ for the majority of time there was into the side of a cruise ship. The room was dated and dirty. Broken power point, broken shower head, mould around the vents and a broken sprinkler system. The room smelt and you can’t open the windows.Asked for a refund of our second night and they said we had to check with booking.com but then they told b.com that they offered a refund or ann upgrade and we didn’t come back to take it. They also claim they gave us a free upgrade to a king superior room. Check out the photos below. Superior my arse! A staff member also walked into the room in the afternoon while I was laying on the bed - then quickly offered new towels.

    It’s all about location

    rating29 Mar 2026

It’s all about the location. If not for that would rate it a 2 or 3. The breakfast buffet was very good. There was plenty of hot water and the towels and sheets were clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. However, place needs a major renovation. It seems there have been some attempts to make changes with upgraded cabinetry and vanity in the bathroom, but the bathtub looks like it came out of a slum house and they gave up trying to clean it. Soap scum rolled off the sides. Further there was residual hair from prior guests in the bathroom. The carpet smells. The location is great but you can hear all the street noise and sounds from the harbor although I didn’t mind that. It’s affordable for where it sits. And if you don the appearance and compromise, it’s worth the view.

Great Customer service and Excellent views

    rating25 Mar 2026

Great customer service and excellent views. Daniel was amazing at the front desk (think it was Daniel, British fella who worked for the NHS before this) we arrived early and asked to leave our bags so we could explore. He told us we could get straight into the room. No extra charge. I guess it's how you speak to people that gets you these little extras. We had a good giggle with him before going up to the room. The room itself was plenty for what we needed. The view was phenomenal, especially at night with the lights of the city. Yes the room could do with an overall overhaul as they are a little dated, and the grouting needs attention But having said that it was fine for what we needed. Working in the hotel trade for over 20 years I am a little more critical of hotel rooms so did notice a couple of maintenance/cleaning issues that can be easily rectified however for one night, maybe even 2 it was perfectly fine. The bedding was clean and the bed comfortable. The rooftop pool was lovely with great views of the bridge and opera house. Excellent location. Would I stay again? Yes I would.

    A hotel that needs updating!

    rating14 Mar 2026

This hotel needs a major update. The furniture and decor looks old, well used, and definitely out of style. Our room is very basic, has no art on the walls, only a very small TV, no place set up for a coffee bar, no robes., and no bottles of water. The bathroom has mold in the grout, is exceptionally small, only has an old porcelain tub that is difficult to step into, no counter space to put your small toiletry bag, and you have to cope with a soggy wet shower curtain. My husband and I travel a lot, and this is one of the two or three worst rooms we’ve stayed in over probably 30 years.
