    A top spot to overnight just off the M31

    Just 10 mins (traffic dependent) from the M31, it was a great place to stop for the night, without having to deal with Sydney traffic. Check in was fast & friendly. The room was spacious & clean. Bathroom also big & clean. The linen was warm & of good quality. The balcony was also relatively spacious with a small table, 2 chairs & an ashtray provided for smokers. The Motel has it's own Restaurant, however we ate elsewhere. There are a number of dining options within 2 mins drive time from the Motel. There is plenty of parking. If staying upstairs, you are given an additional key for the Security door. I would certainly stay again & highly recommend this Motel.

    Classic Australian Style Motel

    For anyone like myself, who spent the 80's & 90's traveling around Australia, this motel offers a very familiar service. It's rare to find that these days and in less urban areas I miss it as this was a feature of domestic travel we've been loosing. From the biscuits with the kettle and milk in the fridge to the outdoor pool and parking, it's a nostalgic and comforting experience. That doesn't mean anything was dated or old/in need of work. Everything looked in good nick to me.Of particular note was the service. I had an appointment in the morning so I needed to arrive prior to official check-in time. Experience has tough me to book an extra night to ensure access to the room when I need it early like this and I did that here. On calling the motel to book direct and explain the situation (so they didn't think I was a no show and release the room) they gave me a very good rate for the extra night, knowing I wouldn't be using the room on that night but rather booking so I had early access the next morning. Really great experience.

    Extremely Disappointing

    Disappointing. We received a warm welcome at reception but were not impressed after that. The room was spacious but outdated and didn’t seem fresh. The television didn’t work and neither did the telephone so after several trips up and downstairs and several attempts by the staff who fiddled with and taped up the connections, it finally worked on the third attempt. By this time we were exhausted, after driving all day and expecting to be able to relax in our room. The door was loose and rattled all night and in the morning on using the toaster, it started sparking. It seems apparent, not much checking and maintenance of the room is carried out. Also, the motel is not close to anything except Isabelle’s Woodfire Pizzeria, which we would highly recommend, but not so the motel

    Extremely Dissapointed

    Our last stay at the Hermitage was over 20years ago and nothing about the place has changed (disappointing).Reception were lovely and friendly no issues there, although we were told they did a pest control spray two days ago, just incase we came across any dead insects.We booked the spa room, very spacious, bed was great, the sheer curtains had holes in them, (looked like cigarette holes). The sliding door to the balcony was dirty, the balcony was extremely dirty. On the Friday morning we had our vehicle cleaned detailed and parked back at the Hermitage, prior to the vehicle being used for a wedding. We noticed someone from the Hermitage using a blower and blowing grass and debry next to the wheels of our car. Conversations with that person bought no resolution and no apology... very poor!Throughout the corridor of the rooms when leaving for the wedding an opening the door, I came upon drop sheets from the front door down some of the corridor where the ceiling was being painted and light bulbs hanging in limbo, throughout the rest of our stay.Extremely disappointed, no notice of painting being done or apology of inconvenience, or apology of dirtying the car.Will not stay their again.

    Extremely outdated motel. Very noisey location, found it very hard to sleep due to noise. The motel is right beside a main road. Driving into the street to get to the motel, it is in an industrial area. The room was clean but very old decor, due to the noise, will not be going back
