  Worst hotel experience of my traveling life

  This was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had.The reception staff was great, I don't have any issues with the service that she herself provided.I stayed for five nights, weekdays, for business.I've been traveling since I was 12 and it's been several decades that I've been traveling around now. I've been all across the world and stayed in several types of hotels. Still, this stay really ended badly for me.Not such a big deal but not really something I've seen in other equal-standard hotels is a lot of flies. I was bothered by flies all week until they finally all died off naturally.The note stuck to the back of the door said that cleaning will enter regularly to replace any towels (that were placed on the floor) and "amenities".The towel replacement was fine. I ran out of shampoo, hair conditioner, and body wash quite quickly. I left them there thinking that they would replace the next day. They did not get replaced. I thought that perhaps they thought there was still content in the tubes so when it was just impossible to squeeze out the last drop, I left them on the bathroom sink to indicate that I've run out. They were never replaced. I came back to the room late so the reception was no longer there, every night. That meant that I could not request for more shampoo etc.Ultimately, I had to go to the supermarket and buy a whole new set for the remainder of the week.It's a budget hotel but I do recommend replacing the door knobs with something more modern. Those old-school locks where you have to press the indoor side of the knob and then pull the door closed is quite scary in terms of security when you're in your room alone. You have to check over and over that you've pushed the button in.When I checked out, I called their group line because that's all I could find. I told them that I left an adapter and phone charger in the room. The person on the call said that they'd get the property to call me back. I don't know whether the operator forgot to pass the message on or whether the property forgot to complete the task but I never got a call back. I still need to call to see if i can get it back but honestly, now that I've left the country, I don't even know whether it's worth it so I'm about to give up.Those official Apple chargers and cords aren't cheap so it's over AUD 100 of a lost expense to me.   Very decent and great location for travel

  Stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Sydney for an Ashes Test.Had a room with a living area,dining area and kitchenette and separate bedroom.Had a balcony although pretty limited view from it on the 3rd floor.Rooms were decent size and clean and it was quiet.Bathroom had a shower and some complimentary toiletries.Towels could be changed every day except Sundays as could rubbish be removed.Amenities were supposed to be replaced every day except Sunday but that could be hit and miss although supplies could be obtained from reception which was open most of the day.Location excellent.Plenty of eating establishments nearby and supermarkets and a range of shops.Bus running to Coogee just about 50m from hotel.The L2 light railway a 5 minute or so walk with frequent service to SGC,racecourse,Central and on to Circular Quay.Overall a decent enough choice although quite expensive in early January when we stayed for the standard of the hotel and the somewhat variable housekeeping Veriu Randwick, Other at Veriu Randwick, responded to this review Dear Dongola,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.   I will never stay here again

  I was looking forward to staying here given the hotel's 4 star rating. I was extremely disappointed. First up someone in their room was smoking cigarettes on my floor making the whole floor smoky. I reported it but nothing seemed to happen. Second, my 'suite' was tiny with barely room to walk around the bed. And no curtains on the windows to block out the lights of buildings to let me sleep. Worst of all the hotel has a sign with a 24 hour number to ring since there are no staff on site after 8.30pm but every time I rang the number it cut out with no one answering. I will be never ever stay here again and I've asked the person who booked me to move me tomorrow.
