  Stunning Harbour Bridge views from room

  Stayed 2 nights in April 2026 for sightseeing. View Sydney delivered on promised harbour views with spacious rooms and convenient North Sydney location, though some facility aspects showing age and amenity provision minimal.HARBOUR BRIDGE VIEWS: Booked Superior Harbour Bridge View King Room specifically for views, did not disappoint. The views of Sydney Harbour Bridge from room spectacular, exactly what sought. Worth noting: even standard rooms have access to bridge views from hotel entrance and outdoor terrace areas, so upgrading to harbour view room only necessary if want views from bed/room itself.ROOM SIZE: Surprisingly spacious. Solo traveler found space more than adequate. Room comfortably accommodates work, relaxation, and storage without feeling cramped.FACILITIES SHOWING AGE: Noticeable dated feel to fixtures, particularly bathroom though room functional and clean despite age.Amenity & functions gaps: No bedside power outlets, had to unplug bedside lamp to charge phone. Major inconvenience for modern travelers.No toiletries provided so bring own toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.No complimentary water, minibar entirely paid. TRAIN NOISE: Train line runs directly below hotel. Noticeable noise throughout day and potentially disruptive for light sleepers. LOCATION: Excellent North Sydney position. North Sydney Station literally next door (5 minutes walk, Blue Street exit). Two train stops to Wynyard in Sydney CBD (approximately 5 minutes). Supermarket within walking distance for provisions.WIFI: Stable connection with good speed throughout stay. No issues for business use.VALUE ASSESSMENT: 536 AUD for 2 nights reasonable for harbour bridge view and location, but amenity gaps and facility age make price feel slightly high. Would consider returning at lower rate.RECOMMENDATION: If harbour views not critical requirement for room itself, book standard room and enjoy views from hotel common areas instead.   Room was tidy enough but motel is right over the main train track. We had a room with view of the bridge but you could hear the trains coming getting louder and louder and vibrating the building when the trains went by. I'm not sure what the noise would be like on the opposite side so you might want to check that if staying here. On a side note, in the mini bar the red wine was in the fridge and the white wine out. We asked for room to be made up, we were provided with new towels but old ones where left behind and items not replaced, ie milk. The towels is very minor and didn't worry me too much but might other people. On a brighter note bed and pillows were comfortable which is rare.

  Excellent location, walking distance to metro. Very clean room. Not a lot of news channel like CNN but very good overall.

  FABULOUS HOTEL IN GREAT LOCATION

  I had to return to my hometown for a four night business trip and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. At around A$200/night it was reasonable for expensive Sydney but the view was worth twice the price!I had a harbour bridge king room and did it ever deliver! The bed was super comfortable but the pillows were a bit high for me. The rain-shower was delightful and the bulk toiletries very nice. The fact that you get a Dyson hairdryer with all the accessories is amazing! The washroom’s peekaboo window wall means you can enjoy the view from the shower, however, if you have guests, you can drop the curtain.There was a work desk but its location, under the TV, had me using the dining table instead and there was a bench luggage rack big enough for my suitcase. Facilities included a minibar, kettle, tea and Nespresso coffee maker with pod top-up on request. My stay didn’t include breakfast but it is available in the lobby restaurant. Its location couldn’t be better as it’s a short walk to the North Sydney train station from where you can arrive/depart step-free from the airports with only one change. There are also buses to all over the north shore. I had a hire car for two nights and used the onsite parking. It’s a bit steep at $40/night, but worth it for the convenience in North Sydney where parking is at a premium.It’s now my go to hotel when I visit Sydney.
