  The location is fabulous, easy walk to Salamanca markets, restaurants, cafe’s and the docks.At first glance the place looks like a dodgy drug retreat. I was apprehensive to even go inside. If you have a car, get in early as there are very limited car spots. Reception is only open 9-5, no staff after these times. We were located on the second floor. Not suitable for anyone that has trouble with stairs as there is no lift. Inside the room had been renovated and was pleasant enough. We needed to go to reception and ask for extra pillows as we only had one each and they were flat. No extra linen in the cupboard . The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The room has no smoke alarm which I think may be illegal. In the cupboard there was coffee, tea ect.. The fridge had a tiny milk carton. The window in our room faced directly into the next room and we could clearly see the couple in the next room. We had to close the blinds.No fan, no air-con, no heating and no electric blankets. The bathroom had been renovated however, the shower water goes all over the bathroom floor and could be a disaster if someone slips. It’s not a bad place to stay if it’s just for one night.If you need to stay for more than one night, spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere else.

  Insufficient parking, no smoke detectors in rooms (which is illegal), staff not particularly helpful. Rooms are basic with no air conditioning or fly screens on the windows. Showers are tiny and awkward shaped which makes showering difficult and results in water all over the floor

  Do not come to this motel Horrible place, dilapidated and damp motel. Shower and taps went scalding hot for no reason, at random - VERY DANGEROUS, do not stay here with children!! First we were given a room that was full of paint coming off the walls so I complained and was given the exact same problem so complained again and then she gave us a top floor room. Again, horrible damp room but after a long day decided to stay there. The receptionist did say they’re shutting in a month to renovate but they need to shut sooner because it’s a dump. Traffic was very loud all night. Good location but worth staying out of town for a safe place to stay. Also they do provide coffee and a small milk

  For the best part, it was average. I had really bad trouble with the plumbing in my room - the plug hole gurgled all night, two nights in a row. I DID mention it to perception but was told "it was probably because we were full, and everyone was probably using hot water at the same time" - no exchange of room or anything. My rubbish bin was left unemptied for 3 days. Also, the noise was really annoying in the foyer area, both mornings, and in the evening - my room was 3 doors from it - constant chat, doors opening and shutting etc - so was basically 3 nights of no sleep for me, Flipside, good location, but the windows in the room were way too high to even get a view, which the wall was facing. Disappointing experience all round.
