    Convenient quiet location.

    This establishment was booked for a one night stay in Queenstown. It’s a Title out of town on the main road in from Hobart. Despite the location, the room was quiet. It’s is a short walk into the town from here. We requested a room with a walk in shower. The towels were thick and dried well. The room was equipped with a small kitchenette, a breakfast bar and stools and a table and chairs. It had a 2 seater lounge and a king bed. The decor is dated but this did not detract from the comfort of the room. Adequate off road parking was available although parking spots are not allocated to individual rooms. The only down side was the high pitched squeal from the water when the shower was being used. It’s so loud , it’s impossible to have a conversation in the room!

    On a month long trip to Aus, this unpretentious motel had, pound for pound, the best designed, best equipped room of anywhere we stayed.Big enough, around 35m2. Comfy sofa with a coffee table. A rack that fitted two suitcases ( unique). A little table and chairs. Kitchenette with ample worktops and breakfast bar. Full size fridge.The big chains could do worse than visit here and see how it’s done.I would just mention the door/window wall could be improved in terms of insulation.

    A lovely hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains, in town of rich history. The room was clean with a TV, warm blankets, a kitchenette, and air conditioning. Great value, a good price for such a scenic spot. The restaurant was great, I recommend the satay chicken. The only downside was that the room took a long time to heat up, as the high ceiling made the A/C less effective.

    As travellers who are pretty fussy with our hotel choices, we were pleased with the Gold Rush Inn. There’s not a lot in town and we are a bit worried as the price was amazing, but we needed to stay in town for the Wilderness Railway. We were pleasantly surprised, clean spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Dinner at the hotel was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Beautiful inn in a beautiful location, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable with pitched ceilings for an old cottage look. Aircon with cooling and heating in every room, a small kitchen with kettle, microwave and toaster. Staff are friendly and welcoming and there are some good places in town just down the road for all meals, groceries and so on. Highly recommend this inn.
