Guests have a choice of 55 rooms. English-speaking staff are happy to assist and advise. Amenities at the resort include a baggage storage service. Stayed 1 night after visiting Maria Island for the day.Great place now its all refreshed.Stayed in Cabin 7 which is an accessible unit, all nice and new, lacking some options like bathroom shelf for putting your clothes on whilst showering. No lounge, 4 chairs, dining table, queen bed and 2 singles.Great deckRestaurant was very understaffed for a peak period, one bar person, o ne waitress. Bookings are essential if dining in.Pizza is amazingSpa was grossBoth pools looked okPlenty of things for kids to do, pickleball, basketball, tennis, playground, gym, games room. No Breakfast dining during week

Two of us stayed overnight in a Waterview Suite. We wanted somewhere near the ferry to Maria Island. We didn’t arrive until after rece tion but had called ahead to let them know, so no problems with that.The room was ok. Bit of an odd set up - lots of space in the living area but not much furniture to fill it, and the bedroom had no proper windows - just a high level one on the dividing wall with the living area. We ate in the restaurant which was decent. The member of staff serving us was great.Because we arrived quite late and left quite early the next morning, we didn’t get to use any of the facilities, so it felt quite overpriced for the accommodation on offer.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

Our room had a living/dining/kitchenette & separate bedroom. Everything was clean and tidy and worked. We didn’t sleep well as we found the bed too soft and pillows too flat (additional pillows in the room would also have helped). The hotel has a good restaurant for dinner - good food with a lovely waterfront view, and reasonably priced.

This place gets better every time. I love the effort the owners have gone to. The revival of this place is something that’s been needed for years. Staff are wonderful, cleaners are the best. Providing towels and helping with any requests. Cleanliness as spot on through out the resort. Only thing is games room needs maintaining. Still great for the lil ones. Such a great place for kids, also for adults alone. Loved fishing at jetty. I’d love to have a fishing rod hire and a dinghy hire there. This resort is really worth staying at.

IDEAL FOR FAMILIES

Had a wonderful meal at the Eastcoaster Wine and Seafood Centre and enjoyed the stunning outlook over the Mercury Passage to Maria Island. The resort has been extensively rebuilt in recent years and has to be one of Tasmania's best kept secrets. With a wide range of accommodation options and activities it is a great destination for families.
