Location

The hotel enjoys an ideal location in the centre of Launceston, providing convenient access to the amazing attractions the area has to offer.     I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, very close to the city and convenient for getting around and exploring the area.The reception team was professional, friendly, and always welcoming with great smiles. A special thanks to Ritesh, the Reception Manager, who kindly offered me a complimentary drink voucher, which was a lovely gesture.I also dined at Three Steps Hotel Restaurant during my stay, and the food and service were excellent.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay. It truly will not disappoint. I will definitely be back again soon!     Our stay at the Colonial Hotel was wonderful, room was spacious, comfy & clean! We dined in at 3 Steps on George & that didn’t disappoint!! Chicken parmigiana was enormous and prawns were delicious.Will certainly stay and dine again.     Unfortunately there was no breakfast or dinner on site open and we we there on Saturday night. Bit tired and run done .     Stayed here in December with family. Left behind my oofoos slides.Called the hotel a few days later to ask if they had fhem. At that time no.I forgot about it until 3 weeks later they arrived in the post to me in Brisbane from Launceston.They paid the postage.Service above and beyond my expectations.Thankyou very much Quality Colonial Launceston.     We did hope we were booking a historical hotel but it was not to be. The "executive" room had so much furniture, to enter the queen bed one person had to inch along within the handspan of space allowed. The bathroom fixtures were sized for a preschool. This meant the low cistern was unable to provide an adequate flush.Not Neighbourhood Watch: more Neighbourhood Listen. The sounds from those using the stairwell and/or the neighbours' kettles were unmuffled.On the plus side, the staff were helpful and the location was terrific.
