Cabin was not well cleaned. Microwave, toaster crockery, cutlery and inside cupboards were dirty. I had to wash everything before using.Outside table and chairs were also not cleaned. Top bunk not made upLovely outlook as stayed in river view cabin. Great activities for older kidsNot walking distance for food, unfortunately can't use courtesy bus with babies.

    Good, Clean cabin

    rating22 Mar 2026

Booked one night for a short weekend trip, arrived at the resort and was welcomed by reception who informed that we were upgraded to a cabin on the riverbank. My first thoughts of a cabin did not appeal to me much as historically found cabins to be a bit of a disappointment (that was 20 years ago) I have to say I am glad we didn't book one of the high-priced motels in the area as the cabin was really a home away from home, yes there were the odd scratches and the bunk bed room had a crack in the plaster, non-issue for us. all in all, the cabin was kept clean. The bed was also great, especially driving for three hours. We could not fault the reception area on check in and check out and there was no rush to check out, which gave us a bit more time taking in the scenery

    Best Caravan Park in Moama

    rating20 Sept 2025

Maidens Inn Caravan Park backs onto the Murray River and is the turning point for the paddle steamers when they make the upstream run from Echuca. This is a large pet friendly caravan park and well laid out with large grassy sites. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. I was fortunate as a Discovery Parks member to get a special deal so our 5 night stay was really cheap. There are a couple of amenities blocks, a great camp kitchen and several BBQ's around the caravan sites. The amenities blocks and Camp Kitchen were well maintained and cleaned regularly. The park is generally quiet so is somewhere to sit back and relax for a while if you want. Rather than wait for the paddle steamers to make their run up river you can always make your way over to Echuca and take a ride on one.

So dissapointed in this visit! We previously stayed at maidens inn last year in a lakefront cabin, enjoyed our stay had no issues but unfortunately this time was completely different. We booked into a Riverview cabin on stilts for 3 nights over the school holidays, when we arrived the cabin smelt musty and closed up, the blind was broken, the heater wasn't working and neither was the fan in our room. The shower door screeched so loudly on opening and closing. We were missing any type of coffee table, there was no dish rack and we found dirt on our pillow case and a chip packet under the kids beds when we made them. We found the bin bags under the teaspoons in the drawer?Went into the office next day to be moved but was told they were booked out- unsure about this as many units still looked empty but they said they would let us know- never heard back. Maintaince came around and said the fan was burnt out nothing they could do, they fixed the shower door and the heater just does that because the cabins haven't been used much. The cleaners came and changed the pillowcase but couldn't explain why we had no dish rack etc. Fast forward to that night, went out and bought groceries to cook dinner in our full kitchen only to find the frypan upside down in the bottom drawer absoloutely filthy as well as the one foil oven tray dirty. Had to order dinner as we couldn't cook, packed our bags that night and checked out the next morning.Had to push for a refund for our one night left of our stay but eventually gave it to us.Management did follow up with us after our stay and said how disgraceful it was but was just very dissapointing. Also FYI the units on stilts sway at any movement, we knew there would be some movement but would hate to be there in strong wind as even walking would set the sway off. Also the games room is not worth it at all, majority of the machines were broken or just swallowing tokens. The view from the room was lovely though. Also very surprised by the lack of school holiday activities - a little soccer net and a print out of what's on in town and on the 2nd night a movie screen was randomly rolled out but noone was told.Unfortunately we don't think we will return to maidens inn.

    Pleasant surprise

Stayed in a cabin before the long weekend for 1 night and then on the way home after the long weekend. Both cabins were awesome, clean, well maintained and affordable and well set out. Reception was pleasant and had no problem sorting out a cabin for us to stay in.Definitely stay there again
