  Wonderful customer service

  We had 4 rooms booked for 3 nights at the Mercure Hotel in Echuca. Just one hour before our arrival they called to advise they were overbooked and only two rooms were available! They said they were trying to find us alternative accommodation. In shock that the rooms we had booked six months in advance weren’t available, I did a quick ring around and Taryn from The River Boat Hotel said she luckily had 4 rooms available for the 3 nights. I advised we were elderly and asked for ground floor rooms if possible. Originally we had two rooms upstairs but by the time we arrived she had managed to get us four rooms on the ground floor. The rooms are lovely and clean with excellent storage, electric blankets and extra little touches like providing milk for tea and coffee. The location is central with easy access to eateries and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks once again to Taryn for showing that excellent customer service is available in the lovely town of Echuca.

  Fabulous place to stay.

  This hotel is in an awesome location, walking distance to the historic Port of Echuca precinct, walking distance to the retail shopping strip of Hare St, and so many cafes and eateries. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and well appointed with all our needs. The owner/manager was so warm and welcoming that we will certainly return and highly recommend it to others.

  Fabulous low cost accommodation right in the heart of town. Clean, warm, well maintained and equipped and the Manager, Taryn, was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and would certainly stay there again!

  I’m not sure why we picked the River Boat for our stay in Echuca - but I’m glad we did! We had a great stay. A very welcoming reception, large and clean rooms, well appointed. The bathroom is a good size, the bed super comfortable, all in all a wonderful place to stay

  We had a great overnight stay at The River Boart Hotel. The room (#18) was a great size, perfect for a queen bed and single bed. The beds were super comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and the sheets were crisp and clean. The room bench had a fridge, microwave, and kettle, and there was crockery and cutlery. There was ample space for bags with a sizeable wardrobe. The bathroom is a bit dated with tiles needing some attention, the ceiling fan was dusty and at night the glass brick wall I noticed quite a bit of dust where only part of the glass bricks had been cleaned. There was a small amount of mould on the glass brick wall grout, but it appeared to be cleaned somewhat. The bathroom had plenty of towels, face clothes, shampoo, etc. The carpet in the room does need a good clean due to staining, but as I understand, the managers only took over 6 months ago and are doing updates. The customer service was fantastic, Taryn checked with us how we were going throughout our stay. We were in town to go on a paddlesteamer, and we were able to leave our car at the hotel for our quick morning in town before heading off. The location is fantastic with ample food choices around. Thanks again Taryn. We will be back and can't wait to see how you have added to the hotel.
