    Poor value for money

    rating28 Apr 2026

We booked an executive ocean view king room with daily breakfast for my wife and I.This came to $385.00 per night. The view from the room looked out to Magnetic island and although the windows could have done with a clean outside it was quite pleasant. (There was no balcony). The room was clean and I thought rather sparcely appointed, there was no coffee machine, although there was a jug and some instant coffee saches.I found the bed unconfortable, it felt like an older bed with a mattress topper on it, and the linen felt more synthetic than nateral fibre. In the bathroom there were pump bottles of soap etc as well as a little toilet bag with toothpaste and other stuff that had a very clear price tag on it, this also applies to some produce on the bench in the bedroom. I found this a little tacky and it reminded me of some cheap motel from the eighties. There was a stocked mini bar and the usual tick as you use price list.Breakfast was quite nice but you had to purchase your coffee ($7.00 p/cup) after paying for a buffet breakfast I think I could be forgiven for thinking it might come with tea and coffee? All in all I thought it was poor value for money and I am sure there are much nicer places to stay in townsville and many cafes where less than $40+ will get you an excellent coffee & breakfast Ville Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at The Ville Resort-Casino, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent stay with us. Could have been better

    rating28 Mar 2026

Our experience could have been better. The seafood buffet was expensive and underwhelming. There were several cold seafood dishes, but only one hot: barramundi. The doneness was excellent, but the flavor was very boring. It didn’t appear to be seasoned at all. Our luck at the casino was nothing short of catastrophic. We arrived with $250 and were not even able to play on it for more than a couple hours. And we’re not exactly big spenders. A very common example for us was to spin 10 times for $1-1.50 per spin and get one win for 10-25 cents. In our entire entire time we got 2 bonuses that combined for $34. I know, it’s all luck. But if we can’t play low stakes for most of an evening on $250, we won’t be back. The staff were really the lone highlight, in our opinion. All were extremely friendly, patient, and helpful. Ville Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at The Ville Resort-Casino, responded to this review Dear guest, We are very sorry your stay was not up to your standards, and we hope you will give us another chance. Kind Regards,The Ville Resort and Casino Team

    outdated and old.

    rating11 Nov 2025

Do not bother it is outdated, old and shabby and overpriced. The carpets are shabby, the facilities are dated and many of the staff are young, lacking training and just no customer service aptitude. So Noisy - Really Unhappy!

    rating26 Jun 2025

Really unhappy with this stay.Spent $350 for a room only to experience the following:- no hot water!- music blaring in the afternoon from an event!- it’s now 10.30 and it’s still pumping, which is bizarre as they say that rooms have to be quiet at 9pm.The base is reverberating through the whole ocean side! Why did they not tell me when I checked in?I have to work tomorrow morning!Such incomprehensible service and communication! No offer of any support to ameliorate the disruptions!
